What are you doing today 2023

~Started a new spreadsheet so we can keep track of our studio projects.
~Balanced my credit union checkbook and got the check for our monthly HOA fee ready for my son to put it in our community drop box. HOAs are due by the 10th of each month.

~Did more digital purging, this time in one of my bookmark folders and my Mac photo app.
~Rotated Deja’s food stash and called Chewy about returning the food she doesn’t like. The customer service rep who’s nickname is the same as my granddaughter’s..Bree…was so nice. She said returns are free, I’ll get a return label for FedEx and will receive a refund for the boxes I send back (2 out of 3). She also gave me a 10% discount on my new order and waived the shipping fee.

~Made penne pasta and broccoli for Linner (the meal between lunch and dinner) :)
~Watched 2 episodes of The Rookie Feds and part of the last Equalizer episode.

Did all kinds of little things, wrapped up the evening with TV, and then reminded my husband that we forgot to play bridge today. Unless there’s something special, I can’t differentiate one day from another. Bridge day is supposed to be one of those special ones.

@Georgiagranny, sorry there is still so much drama at work. Work can be pleasurable if everyone is in their right mind, it can actually be fun with the right people. I guess I was blessed, I really did not ever suffer crazy coworkers. There were a few but they were gone quickly.

@Pepper I am sorry that you are suffering so. I find I go thru a unsettled phase at this time of year. With warmer weather everyone seems to be happier, looking forward to the spring and summer. I felt the same when I was younger but now I can't physically do what was once normal. Wish others would understand I want to, I just can't! I am still going to try to plant a few veggies in pots. Woke by the dogs going nuts at 5AM, then I hear voices outside my window, sounded like my husband who had passed. I actually got up, opened the front door to check. Nope, no one, nothing out there. Went back to bed and had a panic attack.

@NorthernLight, sorry you are struggling, I do understand. Just want to point you are an amazing person. You may have depression, anxiety but you push through, continue to stay active with your pursuits and others that share your passions.

I am up, I don't feel any need to clean tonight. I just went to the kitchen, put pots on for mac and cheese, potato salad, and boiled eggs. I will also bake some chicken breasts, some for barbeque, some for a casserole of some sort later in the week. Already made dough for yeast rolls, they are rising, to go to the fridge and be baked tomorrow. Now to go chop, onions, celery and pickles for the potato salad. It was 80 degrees here today put me in the barbq mood.

Wish I could have your attitude @Georgiagranny. Hope you are right, the full moon I mean. Am definitely out of sorts. Everything yesterday that could have gone wrong DID, except laundry! That went fine.

Hoping today will go better. My issues are dependent on the good will of others, HAH. Hate when that happens. Have been so self isolated lately, wonder if I'm getting dementia. Seriously. Just feel I lost my connections, or in the process of losing them. I'm down, baby now you're moving way too fast... 🎵

I have you! I can discuss it with you!

Snow, hail & sleet along with temp just about freezing. This must be the 'global warming' that some people talk about. Looks like I'll be doing my bit for pollution by burning more oil, coal and wood for a few days yet.:devilish: Seriously, this is ridiculous. It's March and I should be getting the garden dug and prepared for this year's crops, but it looks like another week at least before that will happen.

That's why we love living in the south...you can have an A/C'd house and car in the hot summer but in the cold winter neither one of us can get warm no matter how many layers we put on. We are both "winter wimps"...lol.

Today we're cutting up around a big downed "rainbow" tree. So Pedro can mow around it when he comes.

Enjoy your Tuesday, folks. The hawks are breeding here and several dumb Cardinals wanting to build nests keep pecking at the windows because they see their reflections. Don't call them bird brains for nothing.

Please send those dumb Cardinals here, I’ve never seen one.😊.

Crossing fingers that our well water problems are over.
If I understand the guys its electrical related.

This morning was in upstairs bathroom ,, heard strange noise.. water ?

Turned on faucet,no water.
Came down stairs,, gave hubby the news.

Got told he just had used water to make coffee.

Down to basement he went,, heard him yell.😱

Went down to see what problem was.

The clamps that connect the well to pressure tank came loose,, water had sprayed all over.
We have switch by pressure tank , to turn off well pump, did that.
Stopped the flood in the basement.

Hubby got his tools ,, we soon had water,, again.😊

From way water was gushing out of pipe,, I think we have plenty of water.

Hope that is all our excitement for the day.

Lots going on here today... deep cleaning in bedroom and bathroom

Picking up yard equipment; I let the $130.00-a-month-no-matter-if-we-mow-or-not yard service know that my sons will be taking care of yard from here on out.

Son mowing and weed-eating today. The next project is to prune the camellia bush and mulch/fertilize around it to encourage it to come back healthy. Lots of dead branches on the ends and little new leaf production this year. Also, looking into replacing drift roses (played out) with something deer resistant like bottle brush or globasa nana (dwarf Japanese cedar) in the front corner of the yard that faces the street. Finally, replace dark brown bark around bedding plants. The whole yard looks a little sad right now; hopefully soon it will be spiffed up.

I'll be sitting with older granddaughter this afternoon for our weekly visit while little sister goes to speech therapy. Maybe we can make some more headway in our book

Y'all have a good day.

Going to go have our 2022 taxes done today......I'm thinking if we're lucky we might have enough coming back to be able to afford a dozen eggs.
Maybe not, though. Have you checked the price on those eggs, this week?:unsure:
Those in my area, jumped recently. The prices, not the eggs. The eggs are no more talented than they have been in the past. Only difference I can see, is on the wallet.
