@mike4lorie …Season 5 of Yellowstone is in 2 parts, second half hasn’t come out yet. Have heard different things about a season 6, so not sure.
As for 1923 there will be a season 2..has to be, too much left unfinished.
Good, I can't wait...
@mike4lorie Is it a Keurig single serve coffee maker that you’re referring to……if so…..yes, those k cups are expensive.
I got a reusable filter for mine, and measure for the cup……if you don’t like cleaning the coffee grounds out of the reusable filter….you can get paper filters to use in it.
Does this help.
I just bought the reusable cups, going to try it... Thank you!
@mike4lorie Tomorrow, start experimenting by making 6 cups, twice until you get it right. I use 3T for 6 cups. If I were only making 2 cups, I’d 1.5. I seem to need proportionately fewer scoops as I use more water.
And I am going to give that a try, and thank you!

Thank you for the help there... YOU are all the BEST here...

I posted above where I went for our lunch.... ^^^^ . My daughter is very plain speaking, not a sunshiny person in that sense... and she takes no prisoners... so we did discuss my estranged husband in some detail.. he is her step father after all...

My CKD doesn't bother me at all.. really.. thanks for asking... you make me sound like a Hypochondriac lol... :ROFLMAO: my Knees are painful tonight because of the almost 4 hour drive, and all the walking up and down hills in town and carrying heavy bags hurt my back too.. but I get used to it... so when I got home I took some painkillers, and a heat pad on my back helps always... but thanks for your concern..

I haven't had the result of my MRI btw.. got an appointment for the end of May to see the consutant.. in the UK the NHS works incredibly slowly.. . Sprin hasn't really arrived here yet.. we've had rain for days.. so no chance of going into the garden quite yet..
I don't see you as a hypochondriac, I see you as a woman that refuses to give up in the face of challenges. That is what worries me. At some point we need to realize our limits. You have a beautiful home and garden but you need to start looking forward and hire help when you need it. I have accepted I can no longer take care of the yard, which I loved. My son is now doing the yard work. The only thing I have to do is water the flowers and vegetables I have planted.

I have also realized that I may need someone to come in and do the floors and baths. I do not look forward to that but I also know how hard it is for me to keep up with those things. I have three dogs that make a mess of the floors. I can vacuum and mop but if I did it as much as needed it would be everyday. I think it would be better to have someone come once a week to do a good cleaning and I can just touch up. Keep the dogs shedding and bringing in dirt under control. I would just sweep or vacuum what I see. They could do the dog foot prints all over.

@hollydolly I agree about the stores being busy as people prep for Easter and guests. Yesterday, one was the busiest I’ve experienced in ages. Their loss leader was butter and I bet it inspired everyone else to shop there too. A limit of of one. Carts were full. Mine had more than usual too. Nothing by comparison to them.

One more day and then a day off. I hope there aren't any surprise early-morning orders wanting to pick up something 🥐 🥐 🥐 🥐

I also hope that our New Hire isn't either off today or is allowed to work in the bakery instead of "training" somebody on her old job.

Boohoo. This is Retired Lady's last week😭

I'm waking up earlier because the days are getting longer. Groan. If it weren't for coffee, I wouldn't get up at all. Not a morning person.

Since the trivia games were canceled, I'm "free" all day on Sundays.

I'll finish reading The Art of War. Then read the telescope manual and try to set up the telescope. We'll have clear skies one of these nights.

Feeling kind of decrepit lately, especially my knees. I know how this goes. Time to get back into exercising.

Today I'm home recovering from yesterday. It started as a dull grey day, but this afternoon we've had glorious sun and blue skies albeit still feeling chilly.

I went out and picked up a few things in the garden, which is looking so sorry for itself after a long winter.. but it won't be long now until I'm moaning about raking up the leaves, mowing the lawns and trimming all the hedges... again..

I bought lots of fruit and cheese scones from Marks yesterday.. and I froze them all individually today..they're very expensive at £1 each.. so the woman at the bakery dept in M&S offered to bag up the loose ones into 4 and then I could have the 4 for £3 .. instead.. so I got 2 lots of 4.. and then I bought 2 very large ones twice the size of the m&S ones, from an independent bakery in town , so I froze those as well..

Today my knee hurts due to all the driving and walking yesterday.. but otherwise just a little rest from any major activity will do me good today

Today I can't stop thinking about yesterday.
I decided to do a big shop at my local Walmart and get there only to find it closed and police and emergency trucks all over the parking lot.
There was a fire somewhere in the building on March 30 around 7pm but fortunately everyone got out safely.
But the thing is ...it was deliberately set..yes arson...with. people still in the building and now apparently a gas leakage from somewhere.

What is wrong with these people who resort to this horrible act ????

@Mizmo Where did I get the notion that you live in BC? Duh. It's not like your location isn't mentioned!

I dunno what it was, but at work this morning I was positively plagued with an allergy to something in the store. Itchy eyes/throat/ears and runny nose. What? As soon as I got out of the store, I was fine. That's never happened before. Hm. Reckon I'm allergic to work? LOL

I like the *idea* of chess but not very good at the actual game ☺️♟️. I’m better at card games (especially ones that require moving fast), word games or games like backgammon. Basically anything but chess or checkers
I can't play chess either.. these types of games take patience which I don't have at all. I can play Draughts ( checkers) that's quite fast.. I'm also like you better at Word games, Cards or quizzes like trivial Pursuit
