@hollydolly ....I had my Son to do the heavy lifting otherwise I would normally have it delivered along with Bark to lay down , it keep my dogs paws clean .
I always buy Miracle Grow Compost now , it seems to make things grow bigger and better
I am sick of bark tbh..I've bought so much over the years and even the cherry bark, and it all goes the same way, dark, grey, and sparse eventually, and it's so heavy to work with, so now I'm going to buy stones for the borders.. they're astonishingly expensive I need about 1000 kilos... always of course my husband did all the lifting, but not having anyone here to help now , and having the OA in my hands which I'm sure due to the stress of the last 18 months has got so much worse, means I can't lift or hold things as I did , even very recently..

@hollydolly ... or you could do what I do. I have a wheeled garden cart. Roll it up to the back of the car, empty whatever into the cart, wheel it to the spot where I want to use it.

Mona lavender and portulaca are planted. Took off my garden boots and gloves, came in, washed my paws, then remember that I didn't fill the bird feeder. It'll have to wait until after I have some lunch (biscuits and gravy, not very nourishing but filling) and a nap.

I like your post box bird house.
That's a good idea Gigi... I keep promising to buy myself a wheelbarrow.. even tho' in reality I wouldn't use it that often.. but I have quite a large lip at the boot of my car so I'd still have to lift the heavyweight up and over .. and I couldn't do it.. but I'll see if I can work around that theme.. I might be able to come up with something.. thank you..

You'd do better pulling a wagon I think...

A another beautiful spring day out……can’t believe how fast the snow is going down.
But….
Sadly, this quick melt is NOT good for areas prone to flooding…..the sand bags are getting filled and dispersed in areas in need.
This south west corner of the province is not affected, where l am.

Went for a routine dr visit. My BP was higher than usual...so when my personal care aide comes tomorrow my doc wants her to take it again, and message her the numbers. While I was in Rochester, I also stopped at Wegmans....because that is what I do. If you do not have a local Wegmans, you stop when you can.
I mentioned to a staff at Wegmans about how it is nuts that we do not have one here in my county as we are considered "too small a market". He agreed that their criteria was dumb.

what is Wegmans' Marie ?

It's smaller than a wheelbarrow. Plus you can store it up against the shed wall. Just a thought. Personally, I could't lift a loaded wheelbarrow (or un-loaded for that matter) or keep it steady as I moved it. But I can pull a wagon more easily.
I was thinking of the plastic wheelbarrows now, which are so much lighter than the old metal ones..

Wegmans as a company is not as large as Walmart. From their website" We have 110 stores located in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. They have over a few hundred thousand employees.
Thanks Marie that's something new I've learned today

Laundry. Put on the new sheets. Changed out the bedding for lighter blankets. One wool and one quilt.

An afternoon walk in the rain.

Made a Coffee Mousse Chocolate pie to take to dinner at friends’. Left the remaining 60000 calories there so they can gain weight instead of me. He loves desserts so was thrilled to bits.

Oh dear, Mrs.L has just bought some bark to mulch round some of the plants.

Stones.. it just depends where you buy them. The last place you want to go is a garden centre or DIY store. Best place is a quarry or large builders' merchant. For the size you want it will probably cost around £200 + delivery.
