I could buy brand name, but not if it costs $8 for a 3 oz container, and that a sale price! None of my favorite flavors of ice cream - they has some vanilla and chocolate, but no peanut butter or cookie dough. No black or red grapes - only green. The grapes were replaced with cherries. No store brand medicated powder and the brand name is $13, and no vanilla caramel tea.

I've also noticed grapes are out of season. Expensive and sour tasting. 'Tis the time to embrace summer fruits.

As for the price of black pepper, and I don't want to sound like a broken record here, but online shopping can be your friend, Deb. Take the leap with a credit card - you can get one with a low credit limit and online shopping. CCs are far safer than debit cards and checks, especially when it comes to fraud protection.

Amazon sells 3 oz of black pepper for $2.09. Walmart.com sells 6 oz of McCormick black pepper for $5.98. All you need to do is buy $35 worth of products (easy to do) for free delivery.

You can also use Walmart gift cards or prepaid debit cards online, BTW.

Will cut grass just before sundown. That's my big plans HA
From about 10yrs ago. Vehicles and fence in the background are gone. I bought and cleared that property.
The Sears Craftsman mower runs as good as the day I bought it but the wheels are a little wobbly now.
Doesn't look as though I was very happy about cutting grass that day but I honestly enjoy it. Thoughtless exercise.

which of course I did not make and after hours on the phone listening to what I thought to be legitimate Apple and Bank people I finally hung up and went to my bank which I should have done in the first place.
I now have new credit debit cards and have to advise any companies involved so not completely over.

Now today I will just spend it with my favourite pass time

I'm so sorry that happened to you Mizmo! It certainly is traumatic and frightening. Something similar happened to a friend of mine but it didn't involve that much money. I hope everything gets fully resolved in your favor. I admire how you are taking things and allowing your favorite pastime to relax you.

Another scammer called this morning with a computer disguised voice. Wanted to talk to me about problems with my insurance! I let him ramble on and then told him with false enthusiasm: "Keep going, this is fun!" And the rude man hung up the phone!

On a positive note, I gave up drinking coffee years ago, ever since the public taste went for another bean that was way too bitter for me. I tried every possible variation on the market and finally retired my Keurig in disgust! And discovered recently that a lowly instant coffee was exactly what I had been looking for! How sweet it is, as I type with the "right" kind of coffee in front of me! (y):D

Good that it's all sorted @Mizmo it must have been worrying.
 
I found stuff to do after all today. Made 2 batches of keto meal replacements and put in the freezer for ice cream for tomorrow and the next day. Peanut butter is one and Licorice is the other. Cooked and ate breakfast. Then I vacuumed pack the meat I bought yesterday.......chicken, Italian sausage and ham. Cleaned the bunny cage. Put my feet up for a bit and colored. Found about 100 gel pens that I didn't know I had! Happy dance! Now I am cooking a keto pizza burger bowl for supper for tonight and tomorrow. Later I will go out to the dumpster. I did not want to go out when it was so hot.
 
Right now, I have been watching our daily visitor that sits always on the same branch in the Eucalyptus Tree next to our house. On the second picture, it sits directly in the center of the photo. Actually there must be a hawk's nest in that tree because I can hear a nestling
screeming all the time. And we used to have crows all around us, but the hawks have taken over the area above our garden.

Because I almost always work on Sunday, today doesn't feel "right," like I should get up and go to work in the morning, and since I won't be going to work in the morning, it'll feel like Monday. Oy vey! Don't like it when my work schedule is messed with.
 
I didn’t do any time outside today……was 34c, and not one leaf was moving.
Parked myself inside…..gave my floors an extra good going over….sorting and packing.
And……
To brighten my day, surprise, a friend stopped in…..had a great time visiting.

For what ever reason……only got a couple of hours sleep last nite…..so hope it’s not a repeat tonite.
 
My husband and I just got home from my granddaughter's dance recital and saw her get her dance recital award. She did fantastic but of course, I got hollered at by my husband. All I said was that a boy she danced a few numbers with her and 5 other girls must probably like the way she dances. My Husband said I was insinuating that the boy liked her (like a girlfriend). Of course, I didn't mean that but my husband convinced my granddaughter that was what I meant. So now my Granddaughter and my husband are mad at me. So I am not speaking to my Husband.
 
Stopping in here, to say hello to all of you.
Got a couple of hours of sleep, tonight, and then my brain started spinning into those tight and stressful circles, that do not allow for any rest or relaxation.

I decided it better to get up for a bit, and drop by here,
before I try again.
It's been challenging times for me, this week, going thru endless tiny and huge steps, trying to cope with recent challenges with DH's health.
Trying to focus on step=by=step, when able to, rather than find myself overwhelmed.

Thinking of many of you here, too, and hoping you are all doing the best you can.
