Previously I mentioned that we have been at The Shake & Stir Festival for most of this weekend. The outfits that we wore had many a compliment and a request for a photograph. None more so than the local newspaper. Mr. & Mrs. H/C

You both look lovely and make it seem effortless.

Through my decades in the apparel industry I've been privileged to work with a number of highly skilled sample makers. They were well paid and in great demand, believe me.

Mrs. HC's artistry and attention to detail reminds me of the very best of those professionals. The cherry on top of the sundae is that you both accessorize to perfection.

My mother used to tell me, most people won't realize how hard you worked on something, but they will appreciate the results.

As one who indeed understands the scope of Mrs. HC's efforts, I say: Well done! Very well done! A tip of my hat to you both.

p.s. I read the clunky comments... not only is a lot of it juvenile humor that amuses only the person writing it, there's no cleverness at all - the type shouted out by the least-liked, most obnoxious 13 year olds in the class.

It's MONDAY!!! Many of us, dislikes this day with a passion. I'm one of them...

I'll try to keep it short (good luck with that 🤣🤣🤣)

I've been having troubles with an annoyingly obnoxious energy company for 3 years, 11 months and 16 days.

What I've discovered today, will send an enormous shockwave amongst you here, my best buddies. Ready for this?

My problems this company is wanting us to pay an enormous electricity bill that has nothing to do with us. The reason everything stopped at the electricity panel they have on file, belongs to a flat building which belongs to my housing association and has been empty for about 4 years. It's empty of all tenants as well as being boarded up and demolition of this building is planned sometimes in 2024.

But as our two addresses contain one number that is similar, they began demanding the payment for that Flat ever since we moved here.

According to my long-term provider that stupid company has the serial number for the panel at a particular flat in the abandoned building but thought that the same number was a good idea to harass in order to get overdue payment.

At the end of the day, housing association IS responsible for that property and not us...

As sad as it's been very annoying, I firmly believe the stress from that company's abuse is what killed my husband prematurely.

I've contacted the Ombudsman and updated with the news received today. I'm hoping this will put an end to their hostilities, cause honestly, if push comes to shove, I will have to visit the Sheriff Court this week.

Thanks for reading guys, much appreciated 👍😊

Extremely tired, have to find something to eat as I've been in phone trying to get to the bottom of this since 10am... Sick to my stomach and suffering a 4 alarm migraine.

Stuck at home walking range zone. Brought my old 2007 vehicle in to dealership because California OIS smog test equipment isn't communicating with the ECM but is fine with a code scanner. Thus a weird electronic issue I need working to get vehicle registration that am not too confident about them fixing but confident $$$ will soon be leaving my wallet. :( So took light rail then bus public transportation to get back home maybe six miles.

My wife is not one for forums, she's too busy in her cabin. When I showed your very kind compliments all I could get out of her was that American expression that's crossed the pond. "Aw shucks!"

This is the lady's cabin. It's a bespoke building, has double walls with insulating liner in between.

The vintage machines have all been mounted on the walls, but would you believe it, I can't find the pictures.
But these few images will show you how much she loves sewing and how creative she is.

That last Singer Sewing Machine is very similar to the one my parents had and the one I learned to sew on.

Hubby bought me the strangest brand of sewing machine... A TOYOTA JEANS sewing machine, it's a dream to operate. I taught both munchkins on that Toyota. Both of them used the pedal similar to gas pedal in a Toyota car 🤣🤣🤣

. I have spent the last 3 days going back and forth to the rink (2 hour drive each way!). Today I get to stay home and catch up with as much as I can around here. Then tomorrow it's off to the rink again! As far as I know, tomorrow is the last of the Summer School parties. After that things slow down drastically. I'll still be going every Saturday, but there will be very few extra days. Maybe I'll get a chance to recover, before things pick up again in August.

Well, my break is over....time to get busy, again!

Well, let's see...

A big thunder boom at 6:15 woke me up, followed immediately by two dogs jumping on the bed looking for me to protect them.

Dozed back off until around 7am, when their body heat from lying right up against me became unbearable.

Went out into the living room, and was immediately hit with the smell of urine.

Seems my sister in law's urine bag (she has MS and is bed ridden, and we moved her in a little over 4 years ago) wasn't fully closed by the evening nurse, and leaked all over her bedroom floor.

So, at 7:15am, I was on all fours, cleaning up that mess.

On the bright side, I discovered the mess and had it cleaned up and the floor mopped all before my wife woke up. She does not handle those situations well, whereas I have the ability to process the situation and maintain a calm approached.

If fact, as I was down there sopping, I actually chuckled and thought, if this is the worst thing that happens to me today, I'm good.

After that, I've just spent the day getting through the laundry and intermittently throwing the frisbee for Goober and Sam. (it's pretty muggy outside)

Now, I'm just waiting for the ball game to come on.

I too learned to sew on a Singer treadle machine...:D

I dry and wet Swiffer-ed the kitchen floor around 1:30 this morning. I'd been meaning to do it since last week. I also dry Swiffer-ed the bathroom floor after I cleaned the litter box. I showered and made my prayer before sunrise. I had loaded the dishwasher last night but it was too late to run it (IMO), so did that this morning and loaded it again tonight. I was napping off and on today but finally put my towels and wash cloths away this evening. I washed them last week and kept them covered up.

I started watching Meteor, a two part miniseries on the Roku channel, which apparently I missed when it came out in 2009. Almost finished Pt. 1. And of course I had to watch Blue Bloods, play WWF and Cody Cross. I spent a little time on Facebook today, updated my dividend spreadsheet and talked with my BFF.

Today is our fire inspection so our Bingo game is cancelled. I just want it done and over with. I dread hearing the alarms because of Rabbit. He does not like those loud alarms but sometimes he handles them like a trooper. Hope that is the case today. Doing some cleaning in the kitchen this morning. Then will see what I feel like doing after the inspection.
