I was called in to sub for another driver for home delivered meals. As long as I had to go downtown, I took my empty soda bottles to the store to get the deposit - 80¢ - but found BOTH returns for plastic bottles were out-of-order and the courtesy desk agent said she couldn't take them. However on a brighter note, the store DID have French Vanilla flavored tea which I've been looking for.

My friend, Marcia drove me to my annual mammogram test at 8:30am, had it done at local hospital I used to work at. Its right across the street from my primary doctor's office, test took 10min
Afterwards,I walked 4 blocks to local Walgreens bought a couple items, then decided to continue my walk home another 6 blocks. It was a beautiful, cool morning for a long stroll When I got home iced my partial right knee
This afternoon, I walked down my street to mailbx, short walk to my local co op bought 5 items
I wouldn't be surprised this evening if I'm sitting in my recliner reading, I'll probably start to doze off LOL!

Not lying. It's one of those things I loathe doing. When I was a cleaning fairy, I hated hated hated dusting people's homes, but at least I got paid for it.

Now? I dust. Sometimes. Last dusted around Easter, I think.
I dust almost every day. Even today after my busy day, when I got home, and put the dinner on, I dusted all the skirting boards (base boards) then came upstairs and dusted the window sills and the frames..

I don't know why but I hate to dust. It's not hard but I hate it. Even nice dusting tools don't help. Well maybe a little.
I do dust but I dread it.
Now, I do like my dusted house once it's done.

I had a very busy day but managed to nap a bit. I was up by 11:00 p.m. (last night). I re-sorted clothes so I could do laundry but I had to wait until my son was nearly ready to get up. Why is complicated, so I won't go into it. I did a little of this and that so I could stay awake because my honorary daughter (HD) and I were going to the mountain to see the sunrise. She picked me up at 5:20. When we got there, I sat in the car for about 20 minutes listening to the two versions of the song my son and I are working on so I could tell him what other changes I want. It wasn't my intention to walk, but I got bored sitting there while HD did her podcast and realized there was plenty of space in the parking area and surrounding path for me to get a decent walk in. Walking out there in nature felt so nice.

I took an impromptu nap around 9:45 a.m. which caused me to start drying my clothes later than expected. I put most of them away by the time my son got home. We worked in the studio for almost 2-1/2 hours. He set me up with the midi keyboard to try out some synth sounds in his digital program and to be able to EQ one of my existing synth tracks. He EQ'd another synth track and so far I like what we've accomplished. We're almost there. During studio time, a lot of listening must take place as well.

I also had phone conversations with my BFF and sister today, watched a little bit of T.V. and played WWF.

Looks like a shopping trip this morning. With our daughter here on holiday, I've miscalculated how much extra milk, cereal, coffee etc.. that we need. Tesco and Lidl are beside each other and opposite the beach, so we will probably have a stroll along the sand before shopping.
It's quite cool, but hopefully will warm up a bit. If the weather stays dry, I might mow the grass this afternoon.

Exactly the same for me.

I dust everything about every three weeks. It only takes 30-45 minutes but I resent the chore. Like you, I'm not sure why.

It doesn't bother me to do most of a household's chores that endlessly repeat: sweep and mop, clean bathrooms, do dishes or laundry, cook, shop for food, or set up Roomba to vacuum. (I detest actual vacuuming more than dusting).

30-45 minutes ?...OMG..if it took me that long I would do it once a month.

I do it probably every other day.. just go right throughout the house with a small feather duster.. and a High reach microfibre duster... and it's all done in 10 minutes... I don't mind it at all.. albeit that like most people I resent housework...

I don't mind Vaccing per se.. but it's hell on my back.. the stairs are steep.. the Miele is heavy... so I got handheld vacs one for upstairs and one for down.. and I vac most days with those... and every few weeks I get the Miele out and do a good through clean with it... it works really well that way...

I was goofing off most of morning, then made the mistake of picking up
the mail from the bank, my bank has been absorbed by another, so they are
issuing new guidline, rules whatever....and boy is it long and convoluted for
this old brain....hope i don't lose any money out of it !!!!!o_O

Went to town bought some stuff, put in a post and a garden hose hanger bracket, hung the new garden hose, found some ripe tomatoes in the garden, changed my muddy boots, mailed 3 bills, $.66 a stamp, tore up 6 junk mail, $2 to mail three bills, what ever happened to getting bills one couldn't pay, that stuff. Remembered working for $2 an hour!

Well, there was talk of dusting yesterday so I thoroughly dusted and vacuumed my bedroom.
I have an old Kenmore portable air cleaner. I run that while I'm doing a room to suck up all the dust that gets riled up.
When I'm done I put it on the ion setting and it makes the air fresh.
I also roasted an organic free range chicken I bought at Aldis yesterday. It smells good!

Me too. I think it’s the volume. I don’t mind doing the hard floors with the Dyson as needed. It’s the carpets I hate. That means pulling out the Oreck and it’s heavy and hard work. When I do a full dusting, I get out the vacuum to pick up the dust that falls.

Does everyone else dust before vacuuming or vice versa?
always dust before vac'ing... ... altho' there's usually very little dust here because of course I dust regularly.. but I do keep the windows open all day.. so that brings in more dust ..

Today my computer is driving me crazy. My new computer should be here by tomorrow. My husband has been sending me emails and I am not receiving them. I am not blocking him so I don't know what's happening. I would never block him. I don't even know how to block anyone.

Do you have an iphone that he could text messages to, instead of emailing?
