Oh, I love that phrase!a look over her shoulder that would have stopped fast-moving lava.

I remember...Yabbut...why do we keep getting them in the bakery??? We had one last fall who was an absolute genius. She'd watch Sir or me do something once or hear instructions once, and bingo! She had it under control. She was also extremely dexterous and could whiz through laying out anything for proofing or baking in a heartbeat. After two days, she was faster than I ever dreamed of being.
Sometimes she'd show up for work. Most times, she wouldn't. She called out the whole week between Christmas and New Year's, then called and quit the day before New Year's Eve.
It's way past time for us to get a good one.
Let us know the time and place!Well, I was asked to bring snacks to the Brownie Addicts Support group, and I'm thinkin' Wow, this couldn't be easier.

Is there a 12-step group for Brownie Addicts or is it a club that nobody wants to leave?Sounds like we have a new member of Brownie Addicts. We're all hopeless, just so you know.
Well, they keep asking me to bring snacks, so I'm thinkin' the only 12 steps are the ones over to where the brownies are.Is there a 12-step group for Brownie Addicts or is it a club that nobody wants to leave?
Hi, they're called Pork Snitchels I think. Absolutely lovely for a quick dinner.@Supernatural Hang on and make enough for me! I'll be over in a trice.
some are because our town sits in a valley so always affected by floods.. but fortunately I live just out of town and up high... but those in the pictures no...they're in other towns...mostly Northern towns.. altho' the trees down are in the county next door... where I went yesterday for my consultant appointment..Oh my goodness, @hollydolly, what a mess! Are those floods very near you?
The bigger Costco bill will be coming in a few weeks when I prep for holiday baking. Happy to say, I've done a little shopping over the course of the year and already have a stash of 16 lbs of frozen butter of the roughly 24 lbs I'll need.Star... that's a nasty habit you've got lately.. leaving large amounts of money in Costco like that... it's not good for the psyche...or the Starsong household economy.... you'll have to address these issues..![]()
That's a very thoughtful thing to do.'ve got another bag to fill with coats , jackets and boots and shoes.. .. everything is in very good condition, and there's a brand new Hospice charity shop opened nearby , so I will let them have all the donation.. usually I split the donations between charities, but this hospice shop need to get off to a good start..

As luck would have it, my produce store has walnuts on sale this week for $1.99/lb! I'll pick up about 8 lbs sometime in the next few days.
