It's 56 deg today but with strong winds so it feels colder than it would normally at this temperature..

I've put my new Oodie ....over my clothes to instantly warm me up without resorting to turning on the heating.

I've turned the dehumidifier off in the barn for the first time in 3 days.. finally there's no rain ..

I rarely watch TV in the afternoon.. but I'm feeling a little bit rubbish today so I think I'm going to sit myself on the sofa and watch some Sunday afternoon shows.

Hello everyone!

So, this is me today! Yep...I'm sick! It's that sinus infection time of year! Runny nose, sneezing, watering eyes etc. Happily, no fever!

I slept well enough last night, thanks to the miracle of Nyquil. I don't plan on doing much more than lay around the house today.

It's a nice enough day here, but I think I'll be on the sofa right next to you, today. What should we watch?

Hi, kids. I'm home. The sun is shining, there's no wind and the temp is already 70 before noon. Yippee.

When I got to work this morning, what to my wondering eyes did appear? A manager from another store's bakery who's helped us out before and is a real whiz. I was so happy to see her that I hugged her and almost cried! Her being there was arranged Friday by Sir, but he didn't tell me so I'd be surprised. I was. And happy happy happy!!!!!

We're so far behind that even with the extra pair of hands, I didn't finish. Sir told me not to worry about it because TL will do it when she gets there at noon (or whenever past noon she strolls in). TL will do it? Yes, because Sir is there and will tell her to do it.

The note I left her yesterday saying that it's not just MY job, it's OUR job? There were things I couldn't finish. She did them. Maybe she's getting the message that she's skating on thin ice.

And it occurred to me exactly when her whole attitude changed. When Sir and I were both out at the same time with Covid, she was there alone and got royally ticked because she didn't get manager's pay. Awwwww.

My usual Thursday off won't happen this week because we're having "company" (read suits from the regional office) and he wants me there rather than TL. I guess that says something about TL, right? I'll get Friday off instead.

But tomorrow's a day off with more sunshine and warm temps expected. The garden is already calling my name. Pretending I don't hear it. By tomorrow morning, it will be very, very loud 🔊📢:ROFLMAO:

Last night we took Likkle Grandson to Arnside to a see a special railtour cross the Kent Viaduct, stop on it, and watch a firework display over the estuary. We were stood on the pier watching - no £395 ticket each for us haha!

Anyway - today we took him on a regular passenger train to Grange-over-sands - crossing the same viaduct. His first time on a train and he loved it

It's the Oodie! You don't want to do anything else but snuggle on the couch when wearing it. Lol. But I do hope you feel better.

My morning walk with the pups with a stop at a party place, but today no burning wood and smoke from last night. (I am wearing a cuff on my right knee because my pups tripped me and I fell. In 3 days it will be OK.)

Middle row: the canyons are not visible on this picture. Anyway, I am getting too old for rock climbing. When the rain season starts (mostly between December and March) then everything will be green and the mountains will be white. To the right is a coyote souvenir. My dogs would certainly die if they ate what the coyotes are digesting.

Bottom: I saw this stolen? SUV first when it was still in a drivable condition. I told sheriff deputies about it, but they obviously didn't bother.
To the right: I am cleaning my hearing aids at home that saves me a trip to the Mall.

PS @Supernatural: here I cannot watch Euronews TV, but I am reading euronews.com (and other European Internet sites, like tagesschau.de and https://www.nzz.ch = Neue Zuericher Zeitung; as well as jpost.com = the Jerusalem Post; scmp.com = Hong Kong, etc.)

Argh! Fell asleep watching a good film. Typical 😂.

Put roast pork in oven. Round 6:30pm, I'll be putting the sliced cheesy potatoes bake in. Afterwards, it's just the making of stuffing and veggies to microwave.

We can see the fireworks all over the skies in all directions. So, from 5pm until about midnight.

Just catching up on Euronews channel and series to watch. A new limited one just popped up based on the book by Anthony Doerr -- "All The Lights I Cannot See".

I've read the book as a fellow author, so I'm hoping the live series will be as great as the stories were. Later y'all 😃

This morning the clouds are thinning, the sun is brightening things. High forecasted for today is 11*C (50*F).

I solved the issue with my MIG welder yesterday & was able to use it. So that's scratched off my list. Gotta get some more sunflower seeds for the bird feeders, but we still have enough to do a refill today.

One thing I want to do today is fertilize the blueberry patch and raspberry patch. Rains & melting snow will soak it in to nourish the roots and make a good harvest of berries probable for spring 2023.

Church was lovely this morning 😊

Home now and making oven-roasted veggies for lunch. Also have ginger-cinnamon “tea” simmering. (There’s no actual tea involved— my way of getting a warm drink without extra caffeine)

Froze the last two portions of 15 bean soup and tomorrow will make field peas with snaps and Kielbasa sausage to go over rice 🤤

Also plan to clean out my car in a leisurely fashion And wash it tomorrow

One funny thing. I visited daughter yesterday and we decided to take a walk around the defunct golf course in town. About a mile-and-a-quarter total. Younger granddaughter did pretty good keeping up except the last 1/4 mike then she started lagging behind. Waited for her to get more caught up, then (b/c we were single file I I feel silly) I said “quack, quack, quack”. Daughter says “Are you Jemima Piddleduck now?” PUDDLEduck, dear, PUDDLEduck!!

Roasted veggies- YUM YUM! When I do that I always put garlic cloves, still in their paper-like wrappers with the vegetables, and their taste is very different when roasted. I roast Brussel sprouts, and carrots, potatoes, and parsnips sliced fairly thin , cherry tomatoes, a sprinkle of olive oil and salt ,and I add anything else I can find in the fridge that tastes good roasted.

A few regulars at church were missing this AM- probably due to the EST time change.

NY seems to want to get away from the time change , as someone said on TV this AM. I like Daylight Saving time better than
EST.

I am just going to straighten up the house a little and then watch some TV today.
I got hooked on "Sister Wives" years ago and they are having some re runs on TV today- I cant seem to catch their new shows at 10PM anymore. I fall asleep around 9 PM.

The sky is bright blue and it is sunny but very chilly out here today.

Also if I have enough roasted vegetables left over, I might make a small lasagna with the vegetables ,with Alfredo sauce and some good mozzarella cheese on top.

I like your combo of veggies, @Widow of Vietnam Vet ! My go-to is zucchini, Vidalia onions and red bell peppers. Some times I add carrots or potato chunks. Today I added portobello mushroom slices the last 15 min— almost like meat!

Oh, blueberries are so delicious and so healthy!

I have to start buying frozen now; fresh are too expensive and often very sour.

By not watching YouTube today I finally got around to filing a huge paper pile. Most of it went in the trash. Now I am going to clean the bunny cage and start working on the huge box of photos. Going to distribute many to my cousins. My mother took pictures like crazy and when people were laughing that, "Here is Aunt Hazel with her camera, look out!" When I posted some on fakebook they all wanted to see them and loved them because nobody else had any pictures. Now everyone takes pictures.

Last night I ground up some cranberries and oranges and put the mixture in the freezer to use later this month. Today I put my winter flannel sheets on the bed.

I'm feeling relieved because I'd volunteered to drive someone to surgery tomorrow, but she's let me know her son will take her. So no ghastly early rising for me tomorrow!

Returned the doggie coat.
Told the clerk it must have been made for a dachshund, not a Boston Terrier.

We did some other shopping & ate out.
The meal I ordered was over fried, crispy chicken tenders on top a bowl of mashed potatoes & gravy.
Won't order that again.

Guess I've reached the age that food no longer tastes good?
