Taking a breather after a busy morning...

Sheets washed, will dry and put back on bed.

Took my car in for a tune-up. Got an uber home (I couldn't believe there are actual Uber service in our little po-dunk town, lol)

My youngest daughter and I had a good laugh last night. She's in southern Minnesota, I'm in GA. Apparently our temperatures were nearly identical yesterday but she's running around in flip-flops, complaining about unseasonably warmth and I'm bundled up to my eyeballs, haha.

Talked to my older daughter this AM, she is an RN in the local ER and the day she had yesterday would make your hair curl. I know that sometimes it seems like the wait in the ER is forever but most of the time there is a legit reason for it.

Rest of the day, who knows...

@Georgiagranny, how is it that TL is still employed with Kroger? I mean, how many times does she have to pull these stunts before they say, "Enough!"

@hollydolly I hope you get some answers from the MD at your visit and that your dental appt. is not too bad.

@CinnamonSugar I have no earthly idea how she's managed to stay employed. All I can think of is that she's union and nobody has ever documented any of the stuff she's done. hasn't done. She has 23 years' service with the company. Maybe she has just gotten away with so much for so long that she figures she's immune. Who knows? She has said that she has only ever worked in deli/bakery.

I have a question. How is it that birds poop in the birdbath and will still take a bath and drink that water? Ew.
 

@Jules She has no idea. Store manager told me that and asked me to keep my lips zipped🤐 Absolutely!

ETA: She asked for a transfer about a month ago, just a couple of days after store manager had a discussion with her about her chronic tardiness and also told her that she wasn't allowed to make her own hours after showing up on days off or coming in hours before her scheduled times. At the time he had the talk with her, she said she wasn't looking to transfer because the store is "only five minutes" from where she lives.
 
Right now I am watching the games my dogs are playing.

There are three leather bones. But both pups want to have just the special one, the one that is soft from both chewing on it. OK, Ross (right) has it right now. When he looked away for a second, Heidi (left) immediately stole it from Ross. Ross is upset. But Ross (now at the bottom) is a gentleman and will not forcefully take it away from Heidi (but she can actually take it out of his mouth, LOL.)

Eventually Ross comes to me and complains about Heidi. So I take the leather bone away from Heidi and give it back to Ross. Now it's Heidi's turn to be upset and pouting near the door. That will go on and on. There are several bones, but both want to have just the special one. In the meantime, my third Boxer is sleeping under my bed.

Having three dogs, there is usually something going on. They provide me with plenty of entertainment. However, you really have to know them well to understand their subtle behavior. Ross is 7 years and 95 lbs. (I adopted him from a Boxer Rescue at 85 lbs.); Heidi is 3 years and 65 lbs. (I obtained her as a stray with 43 lbs.); while my third one, Otto a stray whom I got at 65 lbs., is now 5 years and 85 lbs.

I did. I just waltzed over there and helped myself to some sea salt caramel something-or-other ice cream. Not as good as the kind I get but better than a kick in the shins with a pair of pointy-toes shoes.

Let us all face the East for a moment of silent prayer that tomorrow Kroger has the kind of ice cream I Iike. Or there will be h*ll to pay.
 
Had an eye doctor appointment today, still a bit dilated. It was my first time to see this doctor, but he said all the same stuff I'm used to hearing from my old Nebraska doctor (have risk factors for glaucoma, need to do extra tests, yada yada).

Additionally he said I'm borderline to the point where cataract surgery would be approved, so he thinks any time from next year forward, whenever I decide things become annoyingly blurry, I could have it. I feel so old! lol
 
Went to the store today to get some ground beef. Wanted to make some burgers & freeze them for future use.

I prefer medium ground for burgers as the higher fat content has more flavour. Now I like to save a buck whenever I can but doing so today on the ground beef was a hard NO!

We're ok, over here....a bit under the weather, but nothing serious.

Wi-Fi has been out since yesterday. I missed everyone! 😉

We've had a beautiful day, and I've just come in. I'm planning on falling asleep in front of the TV.

The usual housework. A decent game of online bridge. We hadn’t played much during the summer. The mandatory three walks. These will decrease radically when the really cold weather arrives. I’m a wuss. It’s dark enough to wear my flashing reflective sash for the afternoon walk; definitely wear it at night.
 
Won't get new CPap machine till November 24th. I goofed up delivery date, could have gotten it sooner. I got confused. So now, I suffer, and it's getting harder to breathe; consistently waking up gasping. So tired. Oh well, I goofed, what can I say?
