What do you expect from SF??

All I would expect from any site is respect from other members, I find the views and experiences of people in my age group very interesting, a Good Morning greeting is always nice, and I enjoy playing the Word Games, SF works for me :)
I forgot to say what I expect but I feel the same as you. :)

I also want to thank Matrix&Seabreeze for creating this wonderful forum,Its the first place I come every day to read what others have to say, join in.
If anybody is thinking of going to the AARP site, don't bother, you'll be wasting your time. When I joined in 2012,there were private&public groups, then the admin decided to change the format which upset a lot of long time posters, made all the forums public, people started leaving. I finally left in July'17 because the discussion/topics became so dull, boring. Sue

I enjoy hearing all the various points of view, and seeing the good common sense of most participants, from all over the world. How wonderful and amazing that we can reach out to each other across
such distances.

On this bb, I like this topic, the news topic, and particularly the "games" topic, which is a lot of fun.

My one criticism is that there is too much censorship. I agree with rgp on this; I think all subjects should be allowed, in fact encouraged. If people disagree verbally, the world doesn't come to an end.

Good Morning All - My primary reason for being on this site is that I can avoid endless political "discussions". I have quit using at least two other sites because of them.

As a relative newcomer I'd like to add my thanks to Sea Breeze & Matrix and say how grateful I am to have stumbled my way over here. Although I'd been searching for a good senior forum the thought hadn't occurred to me to just Google "senior forum." (Homer Simpson type "Doh! moment.)

I find the SS, financial and health information helpful and interesting, but those are not my main reasons for being here. At my core I remain an optimistic Hippie who believes that humans can be better stewards of our environment, kinder to the non-humans who share our planet, better friends to the marginalized, and more inclusive of those who worship differently. People who are motivated to leave our personal corners of the world a little bit better than we found them. I enjoy learning from similarly directed people of my own generation and am delighted to already have found several here at SF.

I like your style, StarSong! :)

First, my thanks and appreciation, as well, to Matrix & SeaBreeze for their time & efforts to make this such a great forum!

As far as expectations, I'm not sure I came here with set expectations. I just wanted a place to connect with people of similar age, a place to communicate, share info & ideas, and maybe even learn a thing or two!:)

I too want to thank Matrix and Seabreeze for their efforts here! I enjoy checking in every so often and reading and sometimes joining in on the conversations. Sometimes when I see or perceive overt bickering, name calling, disrespect, etc, I change topic areas. I had many years in an organization that I had to listen and put up with that garbage.....here I can just switch "channels". I am quite impressed with how savvy and interesting the members are here, there is a ton of experience and intelligence that can be accessed at SF. Thanks again for a great forum site!

We share the same values. You rock.
