What exercise have you done today?

Got up early and did my Bench Press workout. I'm going to start my new schedule of only doing one exercise per day so no exercise bike today. Since I do weights on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I'll plan on doing the exercise bike on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Then depeding on how I feel I might take Sunday off although as an Athiest I don't feel any obligation to. However I find the symmetry of 3 days of strength training and 3 days of Cardio per week to be appealing.

My brother used to play tennis every single day. After a small injury, his doctor told him that everyone should take a day off once a week because little tendons and ligaments get strained or torn (you may not even feel it) and they need 24 hours rest to heal.

You need it particularly, Trade, because you're lifting weights. The reason muscles get bigger through weight lifting is that fibers tear and then get larger as they repair themselves. Your muscles are literally breaking on through to the other side. ;)

Lol! The days of my muscles getting bigger are long over. At my age (76) I'm just trying to slow the inevitable decline.
