Palides2021 I had no problem with your reply...it just got me thinking. Numbers of wishful posts that do not have to do with science and those in the realm of non-sense sci-fi. The one actual possible thing, long in research, that would not be a discovery but reaching practicality is fusion power if such can also be quickly scaled up to get rid of much of the fossil fuel energy use worldwide that threatens not just we humans but also our whole planet. I do believe that could be accomplished within a decade once the core science is successful.

Sure, cold-fusion energy would be nice, as would a cure for cancer and other medical advances, but that would pale in comparison to the discovery of an alcohol that doesn't leave the drinker with a hangover!

Think about how great life could be if we could rid the world of hangovers! We could get drunk every night! It would be a utopian existence! Pure heaven! Of course, it would need to eliminate the liver damage that so often occurs with daily excessive drinking, but that's a given.

Also, comfort food that doesn't make you gain weight would be nice.

The ability to live forever sounds tempting, but it would mean we couldn't have any children. The world of the future would have only the people who are already here. Would we want that?

It would be nice to see an end to all fatal diseases, however. Also, war, murder, and fatal accidents. The only way to die would be that your time has run out, when you are somewhere in your 100's and still pretty youthful, alert, healthy, and not too bad-looking. And you just peacefully go to sleep.

Understanding what happens after we die? If we could know and understand the truth about death and the afterlife if it exists and for whom the afterlife exists? Could we get a peek of our own afterlife before finding ourselves there to stay?
I wonder if we can exchange afterlife once we arrive at our destination? Can swap one's afterlife for another?

What if scientist invented a way of awareness so our spirit interacts with other people's spirit separated from physical world?

I wish everyone knew about death and afterlife. People associated pain with and dying, perhaps that is why death has no friends.
