What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

I just saw Asteroid City. It's about 2 hours of existential angst. It's labeled as a "comedy", but there are monologues about whether life has any meaning, or just might as well commit suicide. That does cut down on the "yuks". Surprisingly, it was a well done movie, but gets tiresome when constantly hit over the head with existential angst.

All Quiet on the Western Front.
I lasted 10 minutes as it was just too horrifying, too real for me. I do realise it is a fine brilliant film but as I am already depressed, I just cannot watch films about war.
I read that book in HS and it stuck with me for all these years. Its rating alone would have put me off:
Rating: R (Strong Bloody War Violence|Grisly Images)

Sleight on Netflix. It's about a street magician turned drug dealer and his adventures with his family , girlfriend and drug supplier. It was good.

Benny & Joon
Benny (Aidan Quinn), who cares for his mentally disturbed sister, Joon (Mary Stuart Masterson), also welcomes the eccentric Sam (Johnny Depp) into his home at Joon's request. Sam entertains Joon while he dreams of a job at the video store. Once Benny realizes Joon and Sam have started a relationship, he kicks Sam out of the house. This leads to an altercation between brother and sister. Joon runs away with Sam, who soon realizes that she may need more support than he alone can provide.

An adorable, feel good movie.
Second time watching it

Guys and Dolls (1955) 2 hrs. 30 mins. Starring Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, Jean Simmons

I enjoyed it very much. Was on Amazon Prime.
Love this movie and the music.

Funny thing... I've sung the opening verses of "Can Do" for decades now. DH will ask if I would do something and I'll break out into this song.

During the pandemic I borrowed Guys and Dolls from the library and talked DH into watching it with me. His eyes nearly popped out when he heard the late, great Stubby Kaye's far superior rendition.

Please note, I don't have a good singing voice but what I lack in quality I make up for in quantity and enthusiasm, most often with snatches of songs I learned during childhood.

Guys and Dolls is my favourite musical.

Iboy on Netflix. I don't usually watch any sci-fi but I took an interest in it recently. I thought this movie was very good.

Kevin Dillon (Kieran Culkin) suffers from a disorder known as Morquio's syndrome, which weakens his heart and stunts his growth. Maxwell Kane (Elden Henson) has dyslexia and towers above his classmates. The two couldn't be more different, but, when Kevin is asked to help Maxwell with his reading, they soon bond over their mutual social alienation and absent fathers. Following a run-in with local gang member Blade (Joe Perrino), the two become inseparable.

It’s a nice feel good movie about the special bond of friendship ♥️ and it’s very touching

Ticket to Paradise on Prime. Starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts. About a young lady and man who fall in love in paradise. I liked it.

This reminds me of the quite lovely "My Bodyguard" from long ago.
The name of the movie is Classic Thriller?
