The '53 and '54 Chevy's were the best looking Chevrolet's ever built, IMO. My first car was a 1950 Oldsmobile that I worked and paid for myself. I use a picture of a '50 Olds as my avatar. The best.parts of that car was the suicide knob on the steering wheel and the center horn ring with the deep blue sky and the stars and planet with the ring around it.Here is my wife's first car, a '53 Chevy Bel air. Her Dad bought it for her in '58. I don't know what he paid for it. After 3 wrecks that weren't her fault, he made her trade it in for a '58 Chevy that she still had when we got married.

Here is a photo from the web of my second car, a Renault Dauphine. It's the worst car I've ever owned. I paid $1000 for it and sold it for $50 to a mechanic for parts.
