@hollydolly, we have frozen battered fish here but they are probably not as good as yours. It is a well known loved style of fish there but I don't think our manufacturers put as much into the product as they do there. If you want really good battered fish you must do it at home or go to a restaurant. Makes me sad as it is one of my favorites and would love to have a great frozen option.

Tonight I had Mutton pie with mashed potato and peas... ..I can't have the mutton pie often cuz it's really fattening, but it's a favourite occasionally with the mash and peas

pasta with sauted shrimp in a garlic lemon cream sauce. I also put in some crushed red pepper. I have never tried this before so I hope it is tasty.

It was only about 1/8 teaspoon, I don't care for really spicey foods. I am eating now and it only has a little bit of heat. It does taste pretty good for a thrown together meal

I had ice cream today too Pappy, but not with dinner.. it was a Plant based strawberry Cone...these actually taste better than the real ones..

..I get them from Aldi..

Made guac for lunch, two avocados, three cloves of garlic, salsa, lemon, and Himalayan pink salt, with corn chips. Shared with my wife, and Lil'bit got a taste also.

This evening I rustled up a Chicken and noodle stir fry in black bean sauce. It was yummy

Jet, what a coincidence. I'm going to cook something similar for dinner this evening - roast shoulder of pork, runner beans and maybe pommes Dauphinoise or pommes boulangere.
We used to help raise rare breed pigs which we butchered and packed ourselves, but that all came to an end with Covid. I can still buy fairly good meat locally.

Try Sea Packs Budweiser battered - it is really great - several cuts above anything else we've tasted!
Should be in your specialty seafood frozen food area where the bagged shrimp is.

A local business is throwing a free barbeque for Memorial Day. It's caused me to start talking like Scarlet O'Hara and to remember Mammy's warning that you can always tell a lady by the way she eats like a bird, so she should eat a little something first. Otherwise she'll be gobbling like a field hand.
