What's for dinner ( or lunch )

It's past 3pm now.. and I've been working in the gardens, and I'm just too hot to think about making lunch, least of all a Sunday roast...I'm drinking ice cold lemonade.. .. this evening I'll make something from noodles... probably something very simple..

Tonight I was going to make meatballs and rice.. but then I saw a photograph online that I took of a succulent roast beef lunch we'd had .. and it instantly put me in the mood for that.. so instead, I still had the meatballs, but I cooked Broccoli, and Yorkshire puddings, and made a beef gravy... delishus.ss.:p

We can have breaded or Battered fish fingers (sticks).. I don't like breadcrumbs so I prefer the battered ones.. they're also much bigger than the breaded ones ..and yes lots of battered frozen fish can be bought here... like these for example..

and loads of variations.. and the battered fish fingers..
I love those with crinkle cut oven chips and peas.

a few weeks ago I bought some boil in tha bag ( micro in the bag).. cod fillets in butter sauce. I haven't had them in probably 40 years... and I quite liked them back then.. well one of us has changed, and I wasn't keen at all when I tasted these .. so I've got 2 left, and I can't make up my mind whether to use them or throw them..

Cold BBQ chicken with salad, coleslaw, beetroot, avocado, sun drenched tomatoes and warmed mixed olive bread. Afterwards I chopped up some fresh pineapple - apparently fresh pineapple contains Vitamin C, is low calorie and helps digestion and immunity but, most importantly, it is delicious :)
