Yes, @Ruthanne, apparently Hypogammaglobulinemia is diagnosed with a blood test that measures the level of immunoglobulin IgG in your blood. I saw one article that mentioned a urine test as well but it was written in such high-falutin' language I'm not really sure, lol. Doctors tend to live in their own little world sometimes
 

Next few days will continue to quietly post process images at home taken during a backpack trip a week+ ago that ought last a few weeks. TV set has barely been turned on for weeks. Tomorrow have another every 6 week blood test at KP for my polycythemia vera condition that is now well controlled. Saturday will go to the large Palo Alto Festival of the Arts street fair. Then Monday with 2 others will drive a couple hours north for some coastal shore stone close-up photography and maybe a bit of fishing. Then the following weekend a nephew is getting married with a full set of events up in San Francisco at a state historical site church. Oh, and seem to have something wrong with a gold crown, sensitive to temperature I dread having to deal with. Also will soon purchase a $20 lawn ticket (Amazing bargain in this era!) for a Friday September 9 outdoor evening rock concert at Shoreline Amphitheater for Sammy Hagar & The Circle plus George Thorogood and The Destroyers.

Life is good. So grateful to be alive in this incredible era we are living in.

After taking washed clothes out of the drier, found my camera small remote infrared shutter release had apparently been inside a pants pocket. I should have checked all pants pockets, duh. So another $11 to buy one via Amazon.

Well fortunately I'd bought a spare a few years ago and was able to find it. It was fine. For the kind of focus stack blending work I do it is essential. I always use a sturdy tripod. Allows actuating the camera shutter with an infrared beam without physically touching the camera. Otherwise I could use a 2 or 10 second timer that would be annoying slow.

Ok, so before committing to a purchase, I had one last trick, after all fixing electronic hardware was my career. The small sealed unit could not be opened up so did not know what was inside but expected a few microcircuit ICs. It is maybe 4"x2"x0.3" but had an opening for a coin battery. The reason it failed was likely due to contaminants like soap etc during the washing machine cycle getting inside via that battery opening. So removed the battery and poured isopropyl alcohol in the hole a few time letting it drain out slowly. Then stuck it outside in the sun 3 hours to thoroughly dry. And Wallah! Works fine.

Have been working on a vision board and taking a healing course online. They both make my day peaceful and fun, but today I have other things to do. Water delivery that didn't come when it was supposed to and a trip to the store later with my boyfriend, Sonny.

I hear you about getting in a rut. Sometimes the rut is hard to get out of too. Sounds like you're succeeding in what you are doing now. Best of luck to you.

I hear they now have better sleep apnea devices without all the tubes.
 
A friend suggested that the next time I visit my dad I play him some of his favorite music from his past. So I am making a playlist for him now. I don't know if it will be feasible to play it for him since it is hard to find a location where he is living that is away from the other residents but I am having fun doing it.

Maybe the other residents will enjoy hearing the music also. When I worked at a nursing home, one night in the dining room instead of listening to the local radio station one of my co-workers brought a tape he made of big bands. You should have seen the difference in the residents. It was amazing! People who never responded back to anyone were moving their feet or hands in time to the music.

Have been a little tired lately, and have slowed down the pace a bit. We close on the island house on the 18th, and my wife is coming home on the 24th. Haven't seen her since early February, and she is bringing Little Kitty with her. She was a stray that we started feeding two years ago, and isn't much older than that. Hoping that Li'l Bit, and Little Kitty hit it off. My wife and I had pretty much called it quits do to issues I really don't want to go into here. She wants to give it another try, so hoping things work out. Kind of tired of living alone.

I watched that last night and it is amazing!! I have a friend who is showing signs of dementia right now and have been trying to find some way I can help her and I think I will try music. Thank you so much for this!!!

We prefer to watch documentaries even if we’re not sure we agree with their point of view. Some of the foreign ones are pretty interesting too. We check them out at the library
 
As usual today I have been driving myself crazy trying to remember who said "Hugs me like you love me." Thankfully my daughter just called me and I asked her. She said when she was working in Children's hospital CHOP(she is an RN.) one little girl would say that to her every time my daughter was taking care of her. We even made her parents stay with us when their time was up at the place the hospital had for the parents whose children were in the Hospital.
