Would you sleep with your door unlocked at night.

MAYBE WE HAVE BEEN SLEEPING WITH OUR DOORS UNLOCKED, our southern door seems to be stuck at the moment. mark55

We always lock our doors but I'm pretty sure the way locks are made today it would be pretty easy to break in. My neighbors mom got locked out of her daughters house a few years back and really wanted to get in. She couldn't reach her daughter. My hubby went over to see if he could get the lock open and he said it didn't take much to do it. Maybe he has a side job I don't know about.

It's still a good idea to lock doors. If it takes awhile to get in, they will go where the doors are unlocked. That's my residence.

I do leave my car door unlocked in our parking lot because there's nothing there to take. That was on the advice of a former police officer we have coffee with every morning.

The thieves will break a window or cause other damage to a vehicle and with the deductible you are stuck.

It's mostly young kids looking for spare cash.

I find it sad that people have to live like this. Our doors are only locked at night - and sometimes we forget. The front door is rarely used here and the back door is always open if we're at home or in the garden. In the time I've lived here there has only been one alleged burglary, and that turned out to be an insurance scam.
