Transgender man who gave birth loses court battle to be registered as father

Exaggerate ? I don't think so.....When that child finds out that his/her dad....is a woman......that is going to screw-up their mind.

Kids take all kinds of things in stride, unless everybody around them makes a big deal out of it. If it is handled carefully by the family, I doubt it will make much difference to the child. Kids with two same sex partners do just fine.

I'm sure you are correct Butterfly. I am only referring to how things are in California.

Also in my above post, I should have said "live as a man or female" for 2 years. It depends of course on what sex the person is changing to legally.

In your opinion.........I strongly disagree.

One of the things that I don't understand is the bathroom thing with transsexuals. Some seem to think that having gender identity problems is a sneaky way to get a peek into the Girl's bathroom. That seems to be a big deal. I'm a guy, and I can tell you there is no Girl's room so seductive that I would give up my ***** to get into. Considering the pure grief most transsexuals get, I doubt being in the other;s gender's bathroom is much of a prize. I think the true problem with transsexuals is that WE don't like being fooled. When we see a man/woman, who turns out to really be a woman/man, we feel unsettled, as though someone was trying to pull something on us. It is a human emotion. While the emotion may be unsettling, we don't have to react to it.
I think the bathroom issue is a red herring. Stalls would solve most problems. And frankly, just putting a "Girl's" sign on the door does not prevent any crime.

I agree, fuzzy. What do people think they will see in a girls' bathroom, anyway? Do they think the girls walk around naked in there? It's just stalls and sinks, and usually a wall to wall mirror.

I think the whole "bathroom" problem could be solved by having one-stall, unisex bathrooms, the same as we have on planes, only nicer.

" I can tell you there is no Girl's room so seductive that I would give up my ***** to get into. "

As i understand it, most trannies do not give up their *****....the surgery is very expensive. Plus IMO, they might tend to keep it, just in case they want to go back.

Now, does that mean they are "peekers" ?.....only they know. But It can't be just dismissed.

Now you've peeked my curiosity, rgp.

And considering how interested you seem to be in the topic of transgender and what they are and what they are not, have you by chance run into any kind of reports about how many of them have kept their penises and how many have not? I only ask because by your posts, you seem to be in the know about this thing.

It was the topic on talk radio, not long ago. Several experts spoke.........No interest, just replying.

rgp, you said "Some seem to think that having gender identity problems is a sneaky way to get a peek into the Girl's bathroom." Do you really believe that? Why would someone go through all that trouble and heartache to get a peek in the Girl's bathrooms? Do you personally know any transgender people or is this something you are just assuming or coming up with from watching TV and seeing some documentaries? Or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

I never said that......fuzzybuddy did in post #29.

Not to speak for him, but I didn't read it as his thought/opinion, I read it as him passing on something he heard.

Hopefully he'll come along & set it straight.

That's exactly what's happening in CA. One or two bathrooms with "Men/Women" on them. No urinals; just one toilet in each.

That’s actually a good idea.
