Who is the classiest woman, ever?

I think a big part of classy is dressing and acting age and circumstance appropriate. It is as is said about porn .... I can't describe it but I know it when I see it.

If you are thinking of today, JLo! If you are thinking days gone by, Bridget Bardot. Dats al I gott to sey.

OMG, I don't know how I missed this. I forgot about Jacqueline Kennedy. I turned 14 when JFK was elected. Before JFK, Eisenhower was always having another heart attack and Maimi dressed and looked like my grandmother. The Kennedys were so classy, and young. I remember when she went to Paris, she was so elegant. But I think she held a nation together after the assassination. I will always remember that photo of her in that bloody pink dress, standing by Johnson, as he took the oath of office. She was seen as source of strength during those dark days.

@PVC, she was homely as an adult and as a mature woman. I was surprised when I saw a photo of her as a young woman!

It's not about what she looked like. It's about what she did.

What's sorta funny is how people will say a certain celebrity is "classy" because she's pretty or dresses nice. Unless you know someone personally, you can't say whether or not they're classy. An actress is playing a role, so you can't say they're classy based on their appearance or acting - not with any validity, anyway.
The same goes for people who talk about how happily married their friends are.....& after their divorce, they'll say, "I just don't understand it; they seemed so happy together." People have public & private sides & they're only showing their public side.
I agree. There’s looking classy and then there is being classy. I think Princess Diana looked and acted classy. It appeared that Audrey Hepburn did also but I do not know. Jackie O’ is etched in my memory as a class act. I remember when the president got shot how classy she handled herself.
It was so incredibly impressive.

Note: I apologize if my comment about the current presidents wife offended anyone. I found it more humorous but can understand how others might not.

I noticed it has disappeared. Probably because of my followup post, which also dissappeared. And if that's the case, I apologize to you.

Awww..... that was very manly of you but no need.
Thank you all the same though. 🥰

I'm glad you're not mad at me. I think your post had a good chance of passing on it's own. But then I had to come along and pile on and take it to a whole new level. ;)

To me, the word 'class' puts things in some sorta upper echelon...on all counts

and you guys have come up with some good ones

Mine goes back a ways, before I'd considered 'class' to be something considered other than an agonizing history period

I thought Donna Reed had a presence about her that somehow put her somewhere above reproach and just beneath Mother Theresa

Now, I didn't know her personally, except in my fantasies
...but even in my fantasies I couldn't bring myself to get her in the sack

too much class

Don't tell me anything derogatory about her

...I still think about her from time to time
