Who is the classiest woman, ever?

To me ''classy'' first of all means a woman who has good manners and dresses well most of all, that is why I voted for Kate. She's also beautiful and has a nice shape, that helps her image.

Oh, c'mon. Y'all know it's me! Never put a foot wrong (especially never put foot in mouth), clothes are the last word in class and style, manners above reproach, never forget a name or a face and always greet others by name, never raise my voice or show irritation and certainly not outright anger. There's just no way I could be faulted. And I'm humble.

In the 1975 movie Murder By Death, a dead body has been stolen. The Maggie Smith character asks what anyone would want to do with a dead body. Her husband whispers something to her. Her answer is:

@Trade and @Geezerette --Eleanor Roosevelt was very intelligent, a very powerful woman before her time and her husband's right hand. She would get my vote for that. But, she was no beauty and not stylish, she's considered one of the homeliest first ladies.

I'm not sure if fuzzybuddy's definition of ''classy'' includes beauty and style, though.
@PVC, she was homely as an adult and as a mature woman. I was surprised when I saw a photo of her as a young woman!

What's sorta funny is how people will say a certain celebrity is "classy" because she's pretty or dresses nice. Unless you know someone personally, you can't say whether or not they're classy. An actress is playing a role, so you can't say they're classy based on their appearance or acting - not with any validity, anyway.
The same goes for people who talk about how happily married their friends are.....& after their divorce, they'll say, "I just don't understand it; they seemed so happy together." People have public & private sides & they're only showing their public side.

I agree with you. Some celebrities and famous people can seem ''classy'' in public even if in private they're not as nice. I would never call the Kardashians or Miley Cyrus 'classy'' because they dress and act outlandishly. My favorite, Kate, could be a monster secretly but her public image is that of a beautiful and stylish and modest and well mannered woman. And, in a thread like this, it would be futile to mention people only we know in private since the other members can't agree or disagree, so must mention famous people.
