I think you can understand why I enjoy your postGoats are so useful. I always wanted some so they could do yard work. I used to have a friend who had a goat named Shalimar. She "cut" their grass. I never forgot her because she was named after the only perfume I've worn for decades.
I've never tasted goat. Is it anything like lamb? I do like lamb.....I like goats, barbequed, roasted, even make good tacos...
Don't think its much like lamb. To be honest it can be a bit... gamey? Shero is right well seasoned its fine. Don't like goat milk, but have made some goat cheese that was pretty good.I've never tasted goat. Is it anything like lamb? I do like lamb.....
It is simpler than you think, just heat and then add vinegar or lemon juice. Here is a recipe, not exactly the one we use but close enough: https://ethnicspoon.com/how-to-make-goat-cheese-recipe-chevre/I'm impressed that you make your own cheese!
I liked looking at that recipe and thanks for posting it. I'll never make the cheese but I enjoy reading recipes. I especially liked that he said you could use herbs and especially, he mentioned tarragon which I think would be great. It is simpler than you think, just heat and then add vinegar or lemon juice. Had a friend with a farm and goats, the grandkids used to enjoy going over milking the goats, bringing the milk home and making cheese themselves. I never participated in the milking part...
Agreed. I'll be dallying there this morning...By the way, that's a nice site you posted.
I've heard about them before. We had a cat that used to flop over when we came close and we called her a "fainting goat".
