The World has Gone to Hell, fact not opinion

its-not-so-much-that-we-believe-what-we-see-but-that-we-see-what-we-believe-quote-1.jpg

Hell is no more a physical location than heaven is understood to be. Hell is an assumption that is subject to one's own idea or configuration. Ask anyone to describe heaven or hell and results will vary. No one truly knows if there is a hell or heaven as they are described by religious authority yet we blindly agree without question or second thought.

In my opinion hell is neither here nor there, like heaven, hell exists on behalf of the beholder.

If some ultimate intelligent entity has the ability to save into an adequate container creaturely brain electromagnetic fields of the worthy, it would also be able to in like save for eternal life those of the evil, one for wonder and pleasure and the other for pain and sadness. That all humans that die go black and white to one or the other is only vaguely supported in the Bible, is not morally logical, and most certainly a construct of Middle Ages religious authorities with an agenda manipulating their potential flock with fear. Gospel verses Jesus seemed to say something to that effect have likely been manipulated and taken out of context.

Hell is everywhere. We are living in hell.

""Hell is other people" has always been misunderstood. It has been thought that what I meant by that was that our relations with other people are always poisoned, that they are invariably hellish relations. But what I really mean is something totally different. I mean that if relations with someone else are twisted, vitiated, then that other person can only be hell. Why? Because … when we think about ourselves, when we try to know ourselves … we use the knowledge of us which other people already have. We judge ourselves with the means other people have and have given us for judging ourselves."

Depends on what you ask for. If you ask for a fish God doesn't give you a serpent instead. We are encouraged to ask for good things (goodness). Solomon asked for wisdom, and received it.

I have trusted this promise and have been bold enough to mention it when I pray in faith for something that is truly good. I've never been denied. This flies in the face of all logic but it is my lived experience.

Stopped watching all TV over 2 yrs. ago. Read what I want of the news and books. Watch old movies on my computer.
Congratulations are in order for you, Lewkat. It takes guts and determination to leave the flock of sheep that turn on their cable TV and maybe stare and stare at it. Oh yes, there are some good shows but unfortunately, TV has become a "baby sitter" for a lot of seniors. They say many seniors are lonely! Why am I not surprised!

Lucky you!

I am descended of Solomon and always wondered why I was never treated like he was. ARRGGHHHHHHH!

Watching a marathon of TV Program, ‘I Survived’…
(Direct TV)
Brutal rapes and madmen with urge to shoot victims, AND
anyone else nearby. They are beasts, there is no punishment for these people save death.

Makes one want to cling to God
“Lord, save us from the fury of the Norsemen.”

The victims emphasis, this happens to 'Normal People,' like you and me.
I agree with Jerry on this.
And unfortunately, it's not always a matter of tv shows, but up-close-and-personal. It's also not always a matter of having options.

Your wrong-get in your car, drive to the poverty areas in your town...
You live near an army/air force base, don't drive by after dark; many parts of Dallas are not safe have been dangerous for forty years plus...
I have no doubt things are very scary where you describe. But, from my own considerable knowledge of experiencing horrific violence as a minor, it can happen to anyone, anywhere. My abusers were

pillars of the community, mostly professionals, very well off, as we children were expensive. Back then, there was virtually no safety net available. Not sufficient now, but far better. With all its flaws, I vastly prefer this world. 🥰

I sometimes consider the wonderful array of foods that I enjoy at my own table and think that Solomon would be envious. If I could trade my life in Australia for Solomon's life in his palace I would decline the offer. I've been to China and seen the Forbidden City and the stone boat of the last Empress. It is said that at every meal she had 90 dishes laid out before her. How tedious that would soon become.

I prefer my more humble fare. This is what Hubby and I enjoyed yesterday and everyday is similar. If Solomon were to appear at my front door we would offer him more of the same.

This was our lunch

This is what we had for our evening meal. After all the rich Christmas foods is was exactly what we needed. If Solomon did come to visit I would substitute roast beef for the honey cured ham.
