What are you doing today 2023

I napped off and on today and was awakened this afternoon by the postal carrier who delivered Deja's package. I put away the cat food I ordered from Amazon with 56 cans/containers. That involved finding/making room. I loaded and ran the dishwasher. After work, my son went to Shoprite supermarket for me to pick up a couple of things that were on sale, as well as my "staples" (blintzes, sugar free water enhancers), that I won't be without. I also put those groceries away. He was happy that I indicated on my list that Cracker Barrel block cheese, his favorite, was also on sale.

Later this evening, it took me several frustrating minutes of combing Amazon's website to find the chat feature (I swear it used to be easier). I finally found it and wound up getting a nice, efficient representative who credited me for the entire case even though I mentioned that I only wanted to be compensated for the two damaged cans! 🤑 That's the second time this has happened in the last couple of months. Last time it was with Walmart.com.

Can you tell us what the tribute to your husband was about? Maybe it will be up on a later date.
Originally his tribute was supposed to be part of a program that was supposed to have taken place in 2022. The organization hit some snags, including finding the right venue, so it didn't happen. They want to honor him and others who's contributions were significant in our community. My husband was known as the consummate entrepreneur, who as I said, mentored other young men who wanted to start small businesses. He was also an activist. In his early years, way before we met, he was on Muhammad Ali's security team and traveled across the country with him. I'll get an update when I hit up my honorary son on Facebook. I didn't get a chance to go on Wednesday. @hollydolly Thank you HD. As the young people say...No worries.

I recently found Trent, and watched the whole season over a couple of days. I really found the characters built out with so much depth. I was not familiar with any of the actors but really enjoyed them. (Little Betty steals the scenes she is in) Very good show.
I realized that I have seen a couple of the other actors. The one who plays Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) was in the series Believe. It took me a while to figure it out...at least he's listed in the Trent Wiki page. But the other actor, who plays Angie's sponsor (Kevin Daniels) is not listed. I confirmed that I'd seen before when I checked the page for The Big Leap. He looks a bit different in Trent. Yes, little Betty is so cute and I'm saying that as a cat person. :D I love how she has melted Will's heart and he makes sure she gets the best.

I keep hearing that Walmart and Amazon are getting difficult about some things but I have not had a problem yet. Both were very helpful when something has been wrong with an order. I hope it continues as online shopping can be such a convenience when needed.

I looked it up and none of them have been on my radar. It may be that them, as a group, make the whole thing come together. I will certainly look for them now. I really like Iantha Richardson,(Faith) she plays the character so well, strong, smart, determined, she will not let anything hold her back. She has the courage to stand up and be counted for her ability to the job in spite of her situation. She puts Will's character on notice she sees the big picture, he is not hiding anything from her. I may sound a little vague here but I do so on purpose. I have seen the season and you are still watching so I don't want to be a spoiler to you. Keep watching!!

Today I have a hair appointment. Looking forward to it so much. I had to cancel my last appointment due to the elevator being broke down. Probably will go to Walmart for some groceries and possibly Aldi's for Salsa. Other than that, I don't know what the day holds. Having my new gourmet coffee this morning and it is so good.

I am glad that you are having a good morning. I usually start the day with diet coke, then a hot cup of tea. The hair, mine I have stopped coloring. I find I am mostly gray with a touch of brown coming through but it looks good to me, kind of a light walnut. The last cut I had was me in the bathroom hacking off about 5 inches with my scissors. I need to go have it trimmed up, but it is about a chin length bob right now.

Your hair looked great on the news. You have picked just the right color for your skin tone. It is so thick and beautiful. Matched with you jewel tone blue shirt, you lit up!! I think the jewel tones are your colors. Hope you have a great day!

@Trila 🦌🦌🦌🦌 Right. Those, too. Brazen, they are. Our subdivision has been here for 40 years and there are many more on all sides, so it's not like they've just been displaced:mad:

Tomorrow is going to be laundry day. While the laundry is laundering, it's probably also going to be blueberry scones day. Are you listening @Mizmo? Blueberry scones. We'll invite @hollydolly, too, if she promises not to show up in her onesie:rolleyes:

Gotta go put the butter in the freezer to make it easier to grate into the flour.
I like scones.......
Just sayin'......

I love how chipper you sound today! Coffee, good weather, and getting out of the house....it sounds perfect!!!

Well, c'mon then! They should have been done by now, but since I lolled around in bed until 6-ish...

Anyway, how about 10? That'll give 'em time to cool a bit and still be warm enough for butter to melt on 'em if you like 'em buttered.

Gotta go get the laundry started before starting the scones. Blueberry scones. Maybe a hint of lemon, too.

Have been taking outside time last few days, being so incredibly nice, nicer than normal….not accomplishing anything, other than taking in the sun.

I’ve been sorting through my cross stitch patterns the last few days……I have realized a sad reality.
Even with my readers…..I can’t see the patterns well at all…..I’ve tried using my Otto lights, both of which have adjustable magnifiers.
I could have the patterns enlarged……but…..the next issue is the fabric…..have always used in the past years, but not recently, maybe for 6 or 7 years, 18 count, 22 count……not anymore, even with the magnifier.
Had some 14 count, tested, not going to work either.
Looked at some 6, 8, 11 count……but the work would be huge…..not to my liking.

I don’t want to strengthen my readers just for cross stitch, and afraid that it would wreck my eyes for other things.

I still can do sewing, knitting and crochet with my readers as they are.
So…..
All the patterns and floss, etc. will go to friends that want these things.

Now I’m looking for a hobby to replace the cross stitch.
Has anyone tried Diamond Painting ?
If so……how do you like it……would like to hear opinions.
