Ive been pottering in the Garden ,found a huge Snail in the Greenhouse , which explains where my seedlings have been disapearing to ,

cooked my Peri Peri Chicken dinner and ate it , I love Peri Peri Chicken .

shall rest and watch the YT for a while .

I want to go out today. Thursday I had a terrible experience with a contracted worker in my bldg. Don't want to go into details, but he ended up trying to make me fall. I didn't. Could have been really hurt. I wasn't.

Been hiding out in my apartment. I hate being frail. I hate losing my power. I fought back, using my screaming mouth. I wouldn't be shut up till something was done. I screamed so loud and so long that my shoulders, back of neck are so less stiff; it ended up that this released a lot of built up tension that was crippling me. I'm looser now. Sorry it happened that way though.

I made a scene. I won't go quietly. Thursday was a very bad day for me.

So sorry for that, Pepper……what ever you need to do to release the bad…..do it…..not good for you to keep things bottled up.
Hoping for better days for you. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷.

Sorry this happened to you, Pepper, people that take advantage of old people are the lowest of low and I understand your feeling of losing power....hugs

what the actual Hell ?

I've just finished cutting back all the branches in my alleyway where my side gate is.. the trees grow high there and ultimately right against the house , so I have to cut them before the branches get too thick. It means holding the heavy long reach trimmer above my head.. which isn't very safe .. but I got it done.. ..and while I was at it I topped the hedges.. it only took a few minutes because they were already quite tidy.. but this will mean I won't have to do them again for a month or 2... out the back.

Still got the front to do another day...

I think my earlier post belonged in the weather thread, oh well y'all know about our weather now.

Today I plan to finish fixing my mailbox, set the post in concrete yesterday, today the new mailbox goes on. Also plan to fertilize the fruit trees, in hopes spring is coming, and do a few other yard and garden things.
Glad to hear the mailbox will be ready to use by tomorrow! I've sent you so much junk mail, not to bug you, but to see if that cement will hold up to 10 lbs of cash should I decide to get rid of some of mine. And your mailing address is the same one I've used for the junk mail?? Just to be on the safe side.

Hi, kids. I'm home. Three down, one to go, then it's Tuesday. Can't get here too soon.

The rain stopped, but it's too wet to play in the dirt. Fine. Too tired to dig today.

Today we had help in the bakery so I was able to get 8 hours work done in a mere 5. I worked slow because...we get paid the same whether we work fast or slow, right?

And...it seems the most recent New Person who came from another department DOES want to work in the bakery. Sir offered her whatever hours she wants doing whichever job she wants and she said yes. It's the store manager who's in the way and passing along all the misinformation. Grrrr. He says "I need her in her old job." She doesn't want her old job. She wants to work in the bakery. More grrrr. Anyway, before she started at our store, she worked in the bakery at Sam's Club. They've been promising her the moon if she'll go back...and she just "happened" to mention that to one of the assistant managers who just happened to mention it to the store manager. Yay. She told the assistant manager that she can't serve two masters and to make up their minds. Bakery or Sam's Club.

If the Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise, as we used to say in Texas, she'll be working 10pm-6am, baking, starting next week.
Woohoo. Let us all face the East for a moment of silent prayer that this doesn't go sideways and she really will be allowed to work in the bakery!

In the meantime, she'll be in the bakery tomorrow. I'm grateful.

I've been waking up early lately, but not today. So....

I think today I'll clean the bedroom.

I'll try to get my exercises in. I didn't do any yesterday, but my legs and body are feeling worn out from yesterday (just a couple of errands).

Read documents for tomorrow's board meeting. Reread book club selection for Tuesday.

Talk to my language partner this evening, and done.

This happened to me today, bummer. I've been mowing that slope for over thirty years and never had an issue until today. I pulled the weights off my mower to see if it would stop turfing the lawn and when I got on the bank above the ditch I slide right in. The back end starting sliding from being too light, I did manage to spin it so it went in nose first.

I've been running equipment most of my life and have certainly taken some calculated risk but this caught me by surprise. And yes, once I pulled it out of the ditch I drove it back to the barn and put the weights back on!

@Georgiagranny, this new person *wants* to work nights? That seems like a long slog

in the news from this part of the state, I went to my daughter’s after church/ lunch and visited: colored with older grand girl and helped daughter assemble a new mattress with a zippered cover. The zipper toggle is now secured with a zip tie so the little monkey cannot (hopefully) pull it off. We shall see.

now I’m relaxing in the shade with a L.Penny/ Armand Gamache mystery. Maybe a sandwich wrap and some veggie sticks later. Ciao!

She wants to work nights so she can be home in time to get her teen brother off to school, sleep, be there when he gets home from school, get to first class at 4, be home early enough to make dinner, spend some time with brother.

It does seem like a long slog, but she's young (23), ambitious, and determined to get her degree. She insists on full time job for the tuition reimbursement, health insurance and whatever all other benefits for full-time employees. I probably could have done it at 23. Sure couldn't do it now!

When she was at Sam's Club, she would be forced into 10-12/hr shifts, often more than eight days in a row, and she won't go back there. But management at our store doesn't know that. They only know that Sam's is "courting" her.

I commend you for sharing with us. 😉😊😀. That really looks like something I would do, without even trying.
I hope there isn’t any damage.
