No horses, but some very pretty flowers and a charming, what I'm assuming is an, Ice Cream Truck?Hey all.. it's racing towards 6pm.... been out all afternoon.First I went to the recycle (waste) centre.. and dropped off some useless stuff... ..they have a bay where if you feel your things are too good to throw away you can leave them at that Bay.. and they sell it in their recycle store...so I dropped off a cordless Vacuum cleaner, which works but isn't powerful enough for me
From there.. I drove over to the Garden centre to meet up with my friend... ( 2 different towns for each thing).. and I forgot it's the holiday weekend so the Garden centre was packed.
I didn't buy any plants because it was just too busy there.. but I did buy a couple of tops from the lovely clothes shop they have there.. .. then my friend and I had a drink sitting in the sun... I was wearing a linen shirt, and I was really hot, she was wearing a sleeveless top and she was hot.... we couldn't believe some people were wearing coats..
Here's some photos.. most taken at the entrance.. ( no horses this time Medusa)![]()

Thanks for the concern Kaila, but I take it with meals as suggested except the bedtime one. Only two days left on the prescription. I’ll ask the wife if she will consider moving to Florida..I am glad that med helps your back, but I wonder if there is some way to change how or when, you take it, so that it might not upset your stomach. Possibly ask the pharmacist for input on that?
Also I hope the sun comes out, and your weather improves.
If it doesn't, perhaps consider moving to someplace like Florida?![]()
Your reasoning seems sound to me.Another beautiful day.
My long-distance language partner is going on a trip in a day or two. I wanted to cancel for the duration of his trip (but didn't say anything). He said he wanted to keep having our conversations, and he'd let me know if there was any change of plans.
Last night, he canceled for work reasons. This was the second time in a row. I know that stuff happens, but it's hard for me, because it takes a lot of psychological energy for me to keep my side of the bargain. For example, I can't make other plans, do something spontaneously, or fall asleep.
Although he's usually very reliable, I think things will come up while he's away. I didn't want to hurt his feelings by suggesting/insisting that we cancel until he comes back. But for my sake I think I have to. This is weighing heavy on my mind!
Other than that, just the usual: housework, exercise, etc.
Thank you. I'm just afraid that, since he's young and active, he won't understand that making time for anything in my day is a huge deal.Your reasoning seems sound to me.
I remember once my mother wore a white patterned dress (not a gown) to a wedding. My mother did comment that she really shouldn't wear white to a wedding. That was the first and last time I ever heard that! Meanwhile, in some places it's customary for the guests to wear white.Right now I am laughing like a Crazy person. My daughter just sent me a picture of her sister-in-law's wedding. In it, her Mother in law's wearing a white gown. I thought my daughter got mixed up and it was her MIL's wedding. So my daughter said, "No Mom it was her daughter's wedding." Now what Mother wears a white gown to her daughter's wedding? This is the same nut who sent her daughter to check to make sure my daughter didn't look gawdy on my daughter's wedding day because my daughter is half-Italian
.
I know this is cliché, but if he doesn't understand and can't accommodate for you as you do for him...Thank you. I'm just afraid that, since he's young and active, he won't understand that making time for anything in my day is a huge deal.

well believe me.. not all of the UK is pretty... far from it, we have many places which have the same problems as parts of the USA.. so if you ever do decide to come, choose your destination wisely...I need to move to U.K. or travel there at some point. The pictures from all over are beautiful.

Update: I finished Step 19 (yes, 19 steps!) and 6 hours later the dresser is finished!I'm putting together a 6 drawer dresser that came in a zillion pieces. It took me over an hour just to open the box, pull out all the pieces and check that I wasn't shorted anything. I'm on Step 5!! Taking a break now....
