What Was the Last Movie You Watched?

This isn’t a movie but a really good Netflix series called FireFly Lane.

This series is the story about 2 best friends. It goes back and forth in time, so might be a bit confusing at first but this series is like watching a great ‘feel good’ movie. When it ended I cried and smiled and wished it wasn’t over.

This series was exceptional. It’s probably more of a long, wonderful chic flick but some men may like it also.

The story is about the ups and downs of true friendship with all the joys and drama that these two friends share. I personally LOVED it and highly recommend it.

I've been meaning to try this one as my daughter has been raving about it.

Please do. I truly think you will enjoy it. This series is so well done that you actually feel like you know these two women intimately. It’s filled with humour, adventure, drama,
s-e-x-u-a-l-i-t-y and all true life human emotions.

It does have nudity in it and some foul language but for myself, that’s just an added bonus. Lol

I've seen this and loved it. Def a chick flick lol.
Is there now a Season 2? I think I saw that advertised on Netflix.

Well..I don't really like westerns..
But..on Grit..a western movie channel..
'The good, the bad and the ugly'..
but maybe..it's the haunting theme-song that so enthralling.

Except Clint is quite..
And..the other characters are interesting, too.

YES there most certainly IS a season 2 with 16 episodes. Season 1 had 10. You’ve gotta watch Season 2. It’s filled with all kinds of interesting stuff.

For anyone else interested, this series is from a book written by Kristen Hannah which is also in audio.

Her name is spelled, Kristen Hannah. And yes, the Firefly Lane book is quite good - as is everything else of hers that I've read.

I always check the IMDB ratings before watching a movie. I agree with the ratings most of the time... more than half of the time, anyway. There are some movies that are rated 7 or above that I don't like at all and some movies that are rated in the high 5s that are watchable. Still, it's a good starting point. I combine that with watching the movie trailer and reading the premise, and checking out the actors. That's usually a good system.
I always check Rotten Tomatoes

To continue with my air disasters theme, I watched Sully this evening, directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks.

This was a great movie. Let's see what it's rated in IMDB... 7.4. I'd give it an 8. I really enjoyed it, and I've seen it before but probably not with subtitles, which I always turn on any more.
Have you seen this? It’s based on a true event…. It’s incredible!

Thank you. I didn’t have any of her books near me and should have looked it up. While writing the name I thought I’d gotten it wrong somehow.
A very good author indeed. She’s written plenty of great books. I have corrected my post. 😊

This was a great movie and the fact that it was based on a true story is amazing. I especially liked how they added real footage from the actually crash into the Hudson River. What a real live hero he was and so humble about it.

They figured the geese they flew into were Canadian geese which are much bigger than American geese and redesigned their engines accordingly. Interesting stuff.

A mini series on Netflix that is preceded by all the warnings, so don’t watch if any of these bother you. Wellmania, an Australian comedy. Subtitles were needed to pick up the nuisances and phrases. I enjoy almost all Ozzie shows I’ve watched.

I saw the trailer for that and thought it looked fun.

The last movie I watched was a B movie that should be called an F movie. It is a so called disaster movie (one of my favorite genres) but seemed more intent on relaying a religious message. There was nothing interesting about the characters that made me want to follow their stories. I wound up fast forwarding through to see if it got any better...it didn't and the ending was "meh". :sneaky:

Northern Borders - made in 2013. A young boy goes to live with his grandparents in the 1950's. It got mixed reviews. I liked it and would recommend it.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day

My judgement is: that was one dumb movie.
