Made "clear out the fridge casserole" using food items that have been in the freezer or fridge for a while. Cooked some elbow macaroni, drained it and set aside. Browned a package of ground beef, seasoning to taste. When that was done, I added a package of shredded cabbage, chopped fresh tomatoes, a can of spaghetti sauce and the cooked pasta.

My frig arrived today around 11:40 the guys from the appliance store took my old one, one of the guys,Sean set up my new one e.g. put the handles on the door, made sure the freezer part was working Its smaller than the one I had which is fine by me, another GE frig. I had put a couple items in my sink wrapped in alumunium foil to keep them cold. I doubt this frig will last 30 yrs,, I read in Consumer Reports new frigs last between 7-10 yrs

Today I woke up late and planned to just relax and enjoy the day, but I had a message from my doctor's office that the cologuard test had a positive result so now I have to schedule a colonoscopy. So I spent an hour freaking myself out. Though the info on the cologuard site said 45% of people who get a positive result have a negative result from the colonscopy and another 51% have polyps with issues, and only 4% have actual colon cancer. So, I'm hoping I'll be in the 45%. Now I'm wondering how to get to and from a colonoscopy because the last time I had one my mother was alive and drove me back and forth.

Hey @Leann ... I'm reading the first one for our mystery book club. It's good, but my brains pretty foggy right now, it's hard to keep up with the changes of narrator perspective between chapters.
@Leann — 24 h further along, I am less fuzzy-headed, am reading more of the Thursday Murder Club and enjoying it immensely 😁. Great characters ands plenty of twists/turns.

Gathering lots of details, trying to prepare for DH's surgery, this week.
I try to rest when I can, but true rest or sleep does not come easily.
We are doing okay, though.

Stopping by here, for a short while. I enjoy reading some of your posts, and saying hello to all of you.

Very first red poppy, bloomed today, in the flower bed outside my window.
Amidst the water-logged, rain soaked, water-weighted blooms, of the peony shrubs.

Tonight, I've been out in the yard "enjoying" the sound-and-light show Mother Nature has put on to the ESE of us. I haven't seen a lightning show like that for years. No rain, no hail, no wind and actually not a lot of thunder but every kind of lightning possible....sheet, cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-ground, straight lightning, corkscrew lightning. A constant barrage of lightning, non-stop. It didn't let up for at least 20 minutes. It looked like the bombing of Dresden.

Just south of us, they're expecting another storm to be rolling through momentarily, with winds predicted up to 70 mph. Yes, 70.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm B-Something has formed in the Atlantic and just might turn into Hurricane B-Something. Right now, the path is pointing directly at Puerto Rico. That's all they need.....

It's cloudy... and very humid. I have all the windows open as I always do but there's no breeze. I've got the battery run desk fan on full blast.. it eats batteries of course... but it's cheaper than the electric bill..

I've just filled a big black sack full of clothing donations for Charity...and I've got another bag to be filled with Brica...

I've been meaning to clear out one of my big drawers for ages, and I got that done today as well.. so now I've got a big drawer for all my technical paraphernalia to be in one place instead of being in various other drawers...

Morning, it is 81F out there already, whoooeee...gonna be a
scorcher...also of course hard to breathe....ah well what ya
gonna do....I'm finishing up my laundry...otherwise nothing
big to do today...it's a pain with these glasses being broken,
got scotch tape holding the left earpiece on...welp, get a
script friday and maybe new glasses a week after...take care all...
;):)

I actually started to write this post on Sunday night. I thought that I would get a head start so that I could post nice and early on Monday morning and be all caught up for a change. However, The Universe decided to play a trick on me. When I got up on Monday, the internet was out!!! By the time it came back on, we were leaving for a trip into town. So I never did get a chance to stop in.

It was a good trip. Our first stop was at the little grocery store for a cup of coffee. While there, Dio found men's shorts on clearance for $3 a pair. He really needed shorts, so he bought 6 of them. In the meantime, I found full sized cutting boards on clearance, also for $3 each. I really tend to go through them (and I hate paying $15 or more for them!), so I bought 2 of them.

Next we went to Wal-Mart for a few things. While I was looking for some scuffs (slippers), I saw that the gym shoes that I wear were on clearance.....usually $15 marked down to $9!!!! I was ready to stock up, but I was only able to find one pair in my size. I was ok with that...just glad to get even one pair at that price!

On the way home, we stocked up on pizza. We'll be eating it more often because of the extra trips to the roller rink. 🍕.

Dio grilled sausages for our dinner. After that, I divided up and froze packages of meat and put away various other purchases. All in all, it was a productive day.

Yesterday, I was checking fences and on the ground in front of me I saw a female Summer Tanager and 5 or 6 fledglings. Momma stayed between me and her babies until I got really close. Then she flew to a cedar branch (only about 3 feet off the ground) and kids followed her. It was very cool!

Last night, I finished my day by (reluctantly) pulling out a patch of perilla mint from one of my gardens. I know that this plant is one of the worst triggers for my allergies. Sure enough I was stuffed up and sneezing all night!! When will I ever learn?!!! 😩

So far today has been like every other day for the last over 50yrs.My
My hubby is driving me CRAZY! He has been in the basement checking the Sump pump. I told him 100 times we should just get a new one but he said he could fix this one. He knows nothing about sump pumps. 🤬 🤬 🤬

Well, I've guaranteed myself a sore back tomorrow....got down
and dirty with the dirty stool....I have a high rise seat on it and
nasty gunk gets in between the seat and the stool itself...and I
would not ask my housekeeper to do it, cause I got to unscrew
the dang thing to get it up high enuff to clean under it.....so I
did that and then took a pain pill and am setting on my heat pad, so thats enough for today...... :p 😠😭
Be good to yourself....don't over do it!

Well... 4 days, (can't believe it took 4 days), lot's of cussing and of course no job is complete without some blood letting, I finally got the gas tank out of the Camaro. (y)
Now I have to clean up the tank, install the new fuel pump and then the fight begins to put everything back in place. (hopefully with no left over parts). ;)
Wish the humidity would take a day off, but, it is Florida in the summer. Glad I have a pool for when I get over heated.

Just got back from a doctor's appointment. Thanks to our sagging healthcare system he hadn't received the surgeon's report about a cystoscopy that took place two weeks ago. Which was fine with me! I feel great and young (okay, forget about my failing memory) and firmly believe that I'll live forever! Based on that, I proposed to the very sympathetic and cheerful young nurse but sadly she is already married! :)

And that estimate would have gone higher based on how long you had to spend doing the work. Good thing you know how to do all this!
You bet. (y) One thing I know is that convertibles are a different animal than the hardtops. Had it been a hardtop, you could have cut a small hatch in the trunk and pulled the pump up and out. Convertibles, because of their structural differences don't have the space to pull the pump up and out, so the hatch would have been a waste of time.
Oh the joys of working on newer cars..... not.
