This morning I left the vintage MG at the garage. There's nothing wrong, that I know of that is, but it will going on a journey tomorrow, today it will be checked over with things like fresh oil, fuel and engine filters replaced, tyres and their pressures checked and all the basics to hopefully, make tomorrow's journey event free.

Shortly I will be off to the supermarket for provisions for tomorrow and later I hope to collect the MG to load it with the rest of tomorrow's requirements. We have to be up early, we are off to the Summertime Swing, an all day concert. The MG and other classics will be on display, that got us free entry, but we have to be there for eleven and it's quite a distance.

Freezing Roma tomatoes.
I'm repotting a plant I purchased into three pots.
I've decided to delve more into houseplants and their care. I don't take good care of the ones I have.
I take care of my outdoor plants but never took the same care with inside ones. Not sure why. I think because DH is in the sunroom more so he waters them. I would like more plants around the house like the kitchen.

Have been napping to catch up on a sleepless night. I'd gotten a message to tell me that my former Mum-
in-law in Australia had passed away. She was almost 104. I lived with her a couple of times. We got along
superbly, went downtown arm-in-arm. We always stopped for lunch at an outdoor cafe, and she would treat
us to a very sweet chocolate "frog" from Haigh's.

She was a top-seller of Avon, and won a trip to Canada, back in the 60's. Her corner cabinet was filled with
awards, of which she gifted me one of them. She sold Avon, well into her 90's.

Sadly, her last few years were spent fairly immobile. That would have been extremely difficult, as she was a
whirlwind of activity all her life. She had the best of loving care, living with her daughter and son-in-law, up
in the hills of Adelaide.

She was a gem.
So sorry for your loss. She sounds like a wonderful mother-in-law! 104 is quite the long life. Sounds like she packed a lot of living into it.

Yesterday was mainly spent at my daughter's, catching up and swimming with her and the grandgirls. Been a long time since I actually swam (read that: got my hair wet) and it felt *good*.

Today is chiropractic adjustment and visit Ed. He's at the local facility and, in his usual calm/accepting way, settling in-- though I know inside he's chafing at having to be taken care of. But he's realistic.

I also hope to start a knitting project; repeat (x2) of the hat I knitted last year. These two are for friends who moved from S. CA to Seattle WA and need more winter gear.

Had a great day yesterday with grandson at the beach. Had to go to the area anyway to do a business pickup so we made a bit of a day of it. Took him for lunch, had a long walk along the strand (well, he mostly ran while one of us pushed the stroller and the other kept up with him), watched the surfers (he was fascinated by them) and some playtime on the grass. Before we knew it, four hours had elapsed and it was time to go home.

The lines were so long to get into the County Fair (over an hour!) that we bagged it. Later learned it was a BOGO day. Bring some canned food for local food pantries and get the second person in free. Ugh...

Probably had a better time just letting him run and play than if we'd done the crowded fair. It was a lovely day.

Yesterday did not go as planned, at all! Instead of staying home, we went to workout at the fitness center, in town. I had a good workout and burned a lot of calories. I left there feeling great!!!!

On the way home, Dio surprised me by pulling into the Mexican restaurant! So much for all of those calories that were burned off!

We reached a humid 100°F yesterday. Hot and humid. In the evening we went to the lake for a swim. The water was the perfect temp! It was so relaxing!

I'm sorry that I just don't seem to be able to keep up with everyone. 😕. I've read some posts, but haven't finished. As the saying goes: "the hurriered I go, the behindered I get!"

I hope you are all healthy and staying safe!

I'm home. Stayed an extra 30 minutes because there was too much left at 11 to go off and leave TL there alone. Sigh.

Looking forward to Sunday. It will be a rare Sunday off. Inventory is Monday, my usual day off, so I have to be there.

Now I'm gonna rest.

Well, not today Friday, but maybe in weekend, depending on weather LOL!

Darn gone it, too late for Highland games up the coast. Everything booked, so kind of bummed out... So, we'll be going shopping in opposite directions than usual. Visit the charity shops we haven't seen in ages. Grab lunch at the best fish and chips place. Then, have ice cream dessert for two at the famous ice cream parlour. Then, coming back home.

Visiting our favourite and best swimming place in town. So a chilling weekend. If it rains then it rains, if it doesn't and the weather's great, woohoo!

UPDATE: Took intercity bus and it was a thrill to see the places we'd seen with husband and son, all those years ago. Visited local Morrisons for missing groceries. Did two charity shops. Got 5 new lovely tops to replace old ones that are way toi big now I've lost the weight.

Went to Nardini's for special lunch, BUT that ended up a huge disappointment. Expensive very small sandwich and ice cream doesn't measure to the hype. Good vibes though as we got invited by an old acquaintance, a lady who works in the same shop, after all these years. We've got tickets to a Festival in their town in September. Something to look forward to as we missed today's (I thought it was next weekend) Highland Games in Dundonald, bummer!

ooooh lovely pics, he's getting to be such a big boy so quickly

Just cooking Belly pork rashers for the first time in the Air fryer.. only got a few more minutes to go so I'm keeping fingers crossed they'll be a success.. but I'm worried..lol

Early got up and moved all my summer backpacking gear out of a closet and pushed in much snow ski gear. My old Brother HL-2170 B&W printer is showing I need a new toner cartridge. Since that was just $17 on Amazon, added a set of $18 Rain-X wiper blades in order to get free shipping.

10:50am now so will drive a mile over to some outdoor basketball courts and shoot balls for about an hour. Have been doing that about twice each week for the last few weeks in order to help rehab my right arm from the right shoulder rotator cuff injury that seems to have disconnected much neural motor control in that arm. Actually getting to be a pretty accurate working around the key positions I play. After returning will start collecting gear for a coming backpacking trip that is a serious logistical effort. Feeling increasingly excited for tomorrow's rowdy Jerry Day outdoor concerts up in The City.
