I so miss walking distances now. It's always been a passion of mine.

Due to the arthritis in my right knee, I can no longer walk far without pain. I can still walk fast, and smartly.. but I hit a pain wall now after about a mile.. sometimes less.. :(
@hollydolly, try what works wonders for my knee and fingers: Voltaren Arthritis cream (3 pack at Costco about USD 40) and keeping it warm at night. After a week or so, all pain is gone. But if severe, then it may take longer. It used to be only by prescription but now it's available over the counter.

And @hollydolly, 15 years ago my knee was cracking and my PCP told me I would need a knee surgery. Ever since I have used Glucosamine HCI with Chondroitin Sulfate Sodium. The cracking went away and I never needed a knee surgery. Hyaluronic acid injections are also supposed to help.

Hi Packleader. , this is called Voltarol here has always been OTC here.. and sadly none of these types of topical creams work for me.. but thanks for the suggestion it's really appreciated..

My daylight activities wede napping, playing WWF, Cody Cross and talking on the phone. It is now 11:35 p.m. and I'm getting ready to take laundry downstairs. I figure I'd better do it while I can, because we are getting plenty of rain, starting around 2 a.m. (my usual time to go downstairs) and continuing throughout the entire weekend. Heavy winds and flood warnings have been issued dut to tropical storm Ophelia.

Hopefully I can get some laundry in. Going to rain all day. I'm so tired, still exhausted from AccessARide on United Nations Day. We were stuck in traffic for hours, most of which on one block! I had to go to the bathroom so badly I imagined leaving the car, pulling my pants down & peeing in the street! I was desperate, too desperate to be embarrassed.

Luckily, the people sharing my ride got out soon at a medical facility and the driver was able to wait for me as I ran in to pee. I was dying I tell you. A forty-five minute ride lasted 2 hours and forty-five minutes! I could have been late to pick up my grandson but thank goodness was not. The ride home was no picnic either. That was Wednesday, I'm still not over it.

Yet I must do a lot of things. Hopefully, my kittens will be here next weekend and I have so much to do and buy for them. Give me strength!!!

Morning folks, I'm sitting here with toes crossed, fingers crossed, maybe eyes crossed too, hoping the dizziness
does not recurr today, it cleared up abt 6pm last eve, had
a bad nite sleeping, but I'm just so glad the dizzy is gone....
Bless you all for putting up with my whining.....later...;)

Had an emergency with dry cat food. So, we went downtown and grab bit of food as well.

As Wilko's closing forever. No more getting cat accessories and food. Bummer! So, we made it to The Range (which includes an Iceland section).

Best of both world, one stop, great prices and bargains. Indeed! Got frozen foods and others. An amazingly priced 6 set of Viners Kitchen knives with a cutting board.

Then jackpot! One old but planned DIY job finally done and dusted.

Got one (4-tiles cork-style) pack plus wee magnetic writing board. The old cork board had been water damaged. We needed somewhere quick in kitchen to jot down items to add on grocery app. 😂 Here's the results below. It was easy to install. Couple of screws and voilà, door looking good 👍

Meeting with my financial advisor.....exciting huh?
That depends on what he or she tells you.

@Pepper I can imagine what you felt like. That's a terrible predicament to be in! I'm glad you were able to relieve yourself when you did! I often wondered what people who are stuck in traffic for hours do when they have to use the bathroom, especially women. I've seen things where people were stuck on the highway for more than 10 hours. Yikes! 😨

I'm glad you were able to pick up your grandson on time. Worrying about that must've been a stressor too. I hope you are not still traumatized! 🤗

Well it was a nice sunny day and I got some photos locally for the start of the new season.. Lots of green still but in some places close and in the woods, the leaves have already started to turn golden...

When I got back the sun had gone in , and so I mowed the lawns. That could be the penultimate mowing of the year... with any luck..

I will still have to trim the hedges tho'...

It's racing towards 5.45pm so I just cooked a big link sausage in the AF while I was in the garden..that's what I love about the AF no standing over a pot or pan... and I'm eating that now chopped up to stave off the hunger until later when I'll have a Chicken salad...
