The exhaust shouldn’t cost much more than 500 dollars (400 pounds). As far as other repairs, it depends on the shop. You might hold off on other repairs unless absolutely needed and get another opinion. A good place to find what is needed is a dealer - have them do a complete inspection. Then take the vehicle to a more affordable place for the repair. Dealers are familiar with your car’s specific problem areas whereas some shops might just “experiment” on your car when they are not sure what is wrong, charge you, and not even fix the problem - it has happened to me!I need them to fix or replace the exhaust , and do the other repairs that are needed before Wednesday night, because I need the car to get me to hospital on Thursday morning ... I hope they can do that.. but he seemed a bit taken aback when I said that to him... however, I did call them last week to try and book it in, but they were the ones who told me to bring it in today.. so I've not been able to use the car since last Wednesday
yes good advice. I have the car fully serviced every year.. and when I took the car into this new place this morning, he asked me if they should do the service, and I said no... just leave it until we get these repairs done, and I'll have it done in the New Year...Point being that I want to see how they treat me with regard the Exhaust, and the few other repairs that need doing first..The exhaust shouldn’t cost much more than 500 dollars (400 pounds). Oh my goodness, @Mizmo .. that was bad! So glad to hear you are feeling betterGood Morning/Afternoon Dear Peeps
Sorry I have not visited lately but last couple of weeks have been very upsy downsy for me and I just felt I could not come on and moan about it. Just tried to keep myself upbeat with the funny side of things.
Fact is my car door bashed me on the head when I was unloading from driver side and I needed ambulance etc etc.
Blood everywhere.
No stitches...forehead has no fat so just ripped skin and lump
Won't go into details. You don't need to hear them. Feeling better now.

I have been through that several times .We are going out for the entire day, as our water will be turned off for 8 hrs.
I've filled a stock pot with water, as well as the kettle and sink.
They've turned off the water to the 3 condos that are connected.
Aside from that, out hydro power keeps going off, at least once a week. I hope this isn't going to happen all winter![]()
yes I do the same. Fill the thermos with a hot drink... fill a couple of buckets with cold water for flushing the loo and the bath half filled as well .. and the kettle for any hot water requirementsI have been through that several times .
Usually I am at home all day so when that happens I keep a thermos bottle filled with that hot coffee I need a couple of times in day. ..... oh yes...I also have two buckets which I fill and leave in bathtub to replenish water in toilet....uhuh , one flush and it is gone
Enjoy your day out
Yes was a bit of a thumper but. It passed. Main concern was lump and possible concussionI'm doing my least favorite thing in the world today...I'm going to the dentist this afternoonUGH! We have winter storm warnings posted for this afternoon so I hope it holds off until I get back.
@Mizmo.....hope you're feeling better. Bet you had a doosey of a headache![]()
We stopped doing that years ago. Between the kids and the dogs the trains were forever off the track...Just put the train around the tree. How many remember having a Lionel train around the tree?

I understand feeling exhausted after a social event. For the last year or so I've felt the same. If I have a social event..or a long day out.. I'm shattered the next day.My dinner with my friends was so fun! Everyone left at 10 and then it took me a hour to clean up and then I read for a hour to unwind. I’m really tired today. I don’t have the stamina that I used to.
I actually decorated early this year so everything has been up for a month. That’s because I ordered a new Xmas tree that was pre-lit. I had a month to return it if the lights didn’t work. So once I got all the branches down and looking good I decorated it.
Now I won’t have any more company until after Xmas and I am sick of looking at the decorations. I’m probably going to take everything down today.
