10 minutes back up-the-hill.😉

I’m actually enjoying pushing my arms some. They can sure use it. Yesterday I didn’t follow a routine; I just winged it and moved the weights to get the impact I wanted. I’ve got a weight lifting bench so can lie down with me knees up. I can do sit-ups in it too.
I got my coffee without this morning.
I need to work out. I’ve got too much pent up anger to unleash and working out seems to be the safest way I’ve found so far.
Well Patty - - -Let me just say that you don't come across as an "angry lady". :)

I walked 5 miles yesterday. Combo of outdoor and treadmill. Today I will go back to the gym. Probably will do legs and then row and treadmill. I started playing around with the incline on the treadmill and so far it isn't bothering me to walk up hills for a long time as long as I walk slower.

This whole week has been a wash for fitness, just now getting over a...cold.
Did 1/2 hr. Taichi forms & flows, reviewed earlier learning, worked on some newer moves. I plan on doing 90+ minutes on the treadmill after lunch.

90 minutes on the treadmill?
That’s a lot after just having Covid.
I can walk so much further outside than I can on my treadmill but I’m going to train myself to adapt.

What tai chi do you do? Do you use a DVD?
My mom used to do some tai chi. They made her a representative for tai chi Ontario.

I just had a 'regular' cold, not Covid, as fall as I know.

I have numerous Taichi DVDs, plus Youtube and Taiflow, a subscribed / membership of Leia Cohen. Also trained as a Taichi Practice Leader with Healer Within Foundation. Later, I got certified thru Tivity as a Silver Sneaker's Enerchi leader.

I was tired and lazy today. I have this medicine ball sitting here doing nothing so I found this couple on YouTube who has a workout with the medicine ball with 3 levels. I did that. I think it did something cause my shoulders feel sore now. I didn't do one bit of cardio. I took a nap instead.

Mine is the same everyday. Balance exercises, stretch exercises, windmills, leg squats, 400 chair push ups, 200 arm curls with weights, 600 reps on the eliptical, then two long walks (One in the morning, and one at evening), and sometimes dancing by myself.

Worked out arms and legs with weight machines at the gym for an hour, then walked a mile around the lake near our house. I would have spent longer at the gym, but I was delivering Christmas presents to three of my neighbors before going and the one that is the most chatty came out of her house as I was dropping the gift on her front porch. :ROFLMAO: Anyway, we probably spent 45 minutes catching up, but I like her and socialization is also good for health.

When the sun melted the heavy frost outside, shoveled the back out. Walked the dogs n me of course. Spent an hour and a bit cutting a couple of logs, then splitting and piling the wood. This is every other day, logs tend to be different widths. Temp today, -15 with wind , very warm sun.

My usual.....squats and lunges this morning, half an hour on the stationary bike this evening and four or five sessions of arm curls with the 5 lb weights through the day. I'm up to 120 curls before the burn sets in. I wonder if I should invest in heavier weights? 8 lbs? Or just keep increasing the number of reps on the 5 lb ones?

Heavier if you want to build strength. Don't forget the opposing muscle group, the triceps. And shoulders (rotator cuff), a key to maintaining the ability to function independently.

Today, one hour of walking in the pouring/whipping rain to get last minute items. Usually our regular exercises lasts two hours, but today was a quicky turnaround. Knee's acting up, not surprising it's the time of the year...
