I planted stuff and felt much better after playing in the dirt:)

Then? I came inside to eat lunch, and while I was chowing down, checked next week's schedule. The schedule that should show me on vacation starting next Thursday through the following Monday.

I have been scheduled to work next Friday, Saturday, Sunday :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Yanno what? I won't be there next Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Thursday is regular day off. Friday, Saturday, Sunday? I'll be on vacation, with or without the blessing that had already been approved.

Gonna go plant some more flowers!

I'd planned to take my garden spade to work today...not for bashing anybody...to break up and scrape up the ice mountains in the freezer. I forgot to take it, but one of the guys who works at night, Luis, used a shovel from work and did it for me yesterday. Did it all! Gramma ❤️ Luis!
 
Started the day cleaning a bit. I wanted to try out a couple cleaning tools I was using in different ways. They worked!

The neighbor's kids hit my garage door again. I went outside, phone in hand, ready to record them playing in the street in case I need to report it. I saw the ball in the street, so I knew it wasn't my imagination. No one was in the street. The mom of the kids was putting the kids in the car. I looked over at her. She tried to pretend nothing was happening.

While I was out there, I was surprised to learn that a neighbor I hate just sold their house. I've been thinking about it all day.

Then later in the night, one of my other neighbors was blasting his music. I recorded it, ready to call the police. They stopped shortly after.
 
I got the lurgy soon after I returned from the Medical check on Thursday... I was so sick on Thursday night, and really quite poorly yesterday ... I slept more in the last 36 hours than I have in months.. Haven't eaten anything except one Grape.. since Thursday night. ..so this morning I;ve had 1/4 slice of wholemeal toast with a tiny scrape of marmalade.. and hope for the best... . I'm not completely better, I still feel slightly nauseous.. but hopefully on the mend now..

I even got the Lawns mowed this morning.. but I have to tell you it nearly killed me... I was literally on my knees when I finished. 🥵

Anyway onwards and upwards.. keeping my fingers crossed I'll continue to feel better today

I haven't been well and even the idea of eating made me feel worse but, I have found that some fresh, soft bread with peanut butter has helped and not upset my stomach. Don't forget to stay hydrated - lots of liquids. Hope you feel better soon (y)
 
Morning folks!!! Slept good, now here I am, wondering what
to do....mind still waking up i think, maybe 3rd cuppa will help....sorry to see that some folks feel poorly today, this too
shall pass..lawn mowed yestrday, house cleaned, now to call
barber abt my locks....I guess it is to be very warm today,
maybe in 80's F this pm,.,,.,,,too early for that....
so maybe get my chair and set on porch for a bit today....

amazingly I ate a little crushed peanuts ( I hate PB) on Thursday late afternoon... I saw them again about 2 hours later...:(

Sorry you've got it too.. must be something doing the rounds.. because I'm pedantic as I'm sure you are.. about cleanliness around food and surfaces...so can't be food poisoning..

Anyway.. I've lost 5 pounds believe it or not since Thursday.. I got weighed on Thursday lunchtime at the Health Unit... and this morning I;m exactly 5 pounds less... that's how sick I've been...

Still can't really face food..

I am not a great fan of peanut butter but, it seems all I can eat atm. If I am not better by Monday, I have promised that I will speak to my GP but, I am not sure what he can do tbh as I haven't got an infection or anything. I am definitely feeling a bit better today and, hopefully, you are on the mend too. Take care x

Sorry you're under the weather, @hollydolly and @Trish. I hope at least you're not missing any splendid spring weather. It could at least rain or something while you're stuck indoors.

So. I'm home. Yes, I did check my bad attitude at the door before going in. It was an ordinary day, finished my work (including Saturday morning oven cleaning) and left.

BBD (Before Being Demoralized), I'd have finished my work and looked around for other things that needed to be done to make life easier for the others. Nope. Didn't feel like it.

It's a really nice day today. It'll be a little breezy this afternoon, but abundant sunshine at least until Tuesday with temps in the high 70s/low 80s. I have a few more flowers to plant today, and the lawn wants to be mowed again. Maybe the lawn will wait until tomorrow. I'm trying to ignore the weeds. Actually, I'm being an ostrich: sticking my head in the sand and pretending the weeds aren't there.

I'm so excited to get five days off starting Thursday that I've gone to my alarm on the phone and already removed the Friday and Saturday alarms. 🕑🕑
