What's your storage capacity?
You didn't miss it... his birthday is today!OMG @hawkdon! I missed your birthday. And I even had sausage gravy and biscuits and stuff. Can you ever forgive me?
Thank goodness you got your power back after just one night, Bonee. I figured you'd have lost power along with the other 2 million! I'm happy to know you're ok. So sorry about your trees. No more 'canes for Houston! It's Day 2 after Bad Beryl came roaring thru Houston. Was a bugger punch than I thought it would be ...lost lots of trees in my area. Sad.
Lost power at around 6AM Monday morning, during the height of bad winds and heavy rain here .... But those wonderful repair workers restoring power got us up at 1 this afternoon. Love 'em!! ... the heat was brutal last night.
I know that I am lucky, as over 2 million customers still don't have power here.
I've been catching up with the storm path and damage on TV this afternoon, as I was in the dark as it came thru the area yesterday ..... no electric, no phone service, and no TV tower reception either.
I have a backup TV for power outages, but 'no signal' at all. Lost it all with this storm.
And all I can think about is that this was only the B storm on the long Hurricane list.
@Naturally, they or their friends have quality trucks. Priorities.![]()
I somehow missed how you severed your ties with your employer. It seems like the right move. Congratulations and good luck. There are two other stores within five miles of home, a Publix across the street from the store where I worked, and two Walmarts within six miles. No problem getting groceries for sure. I might go into the one where I worked, but I doubt it. Will miss my friends there, but most of them shop at the other stores, at Publix or at Walmart so will probably see them from time to time.
Funny...when I've been in the other two stores that are close, I've seen employees who transferred from this store.
Glad you're OK!It's Day 2 after Bad Beryl came roaring thru Houston. Was a bugger punch than I thought it would be ...lost lots of trees in my area. Sad.

Why don't you buy them some kites?Evening entertainment ...
Watching the trashy rat's brood across the street, mess with a power line
What would Darwin think? ... maybe they're taking up where Ben Franklin left off
No telephone poles were harmed

Good point. We'll see what the storms coming through tonight do here, but I suspect a ton of rain more than anything else.Glad Justbones has power back. We lost ours twice in the last few days but only for 3 hours or less. Just a reminder to keep your cell phones charged because you never know.
Hope they go away soon!Staying home again. Recovering from shingles
