But what has that to do with topic??
Suspect was not an immigrant, let alone an illegal immigrant
and as your own posts showed there have been heinous crimes committed by white British too - yet somehow nobody blames all white people for them.
It's a red herring. The anti-immigrant rhetoric is a tired left over from the days of the National Front. It's simply racism that is somehow ring-fenced and still legitimatized by the media and Social Media. Honestly, when I read the same old stuff about how bad immigrants are, I cringe. It's embarrassing. Nothing screams "Luddite" more succinctly.
Not that we don't have an issue with illegal immigration - though suggesting it's turning the UK into a "dumping ground" are baseless, since this is a global issue right now. The UK ranks 5th globally in the number of illegal immigrants. Hell, Russia and Saudi Arabia have more. Turkey soaked up more than 4m refugees from Syria, for example.
When I think of illegal immigration I think of why these people might be wanting to leave their own countries. People lazily claim it's the benefit system, or the healthcare. But in reality, many times it's because their own countries have been crippled by the actions of own governments. Too often we've bombed their infrastructure into oblivion, or are using the banking system to stamp on their necks. We, as in the west, cause a lot of this and then complain when it happens.
In the end, the migration issue is mostly down to inefficient government. More resources need to poured into processing Asylum Seeker processing, along with refugee and migrant applications. We need to be able to turn around assessments more quickly. The UK is signed up to the 1951 Refugee Convention, so we are compelled to process people.
I have lived abroad as an immigrant. I have lived as an immigrant in more than one country, and in one case I went without knowing a single word of the native language. Brits pour over to the likes of Spain and France to live out their retirement. The difference between us and the migrants most talk about it, is that the migrants are poor. It's all a matter of wealth. As someone from a western country, I was able to go to another country with cash in my pocket. You do that, and people tend to think of you differently. So in the end, it's about the (relatively) rich, and poor. Got money to buy or rent a chateau? Great! Don't have it and running from persecution? Nah.
