It is obvious that the rioters are very worked up. They might be furious, or they might be acting out of peer pressure. They are attacking the normal institutions of their society. Which brings the police to protect property and injuries. I am wondering if there is so much violence being shown on social media, and news, that it might becoming a normalized response to the problems the citizens are experiencing.
It feels like as technology has increased, the breakdown of society is occurring at an increasing rate. Technology has made our lives way more complicated, and it thrives on getting our attention by showing us "shocking" stuff. This has created an atmosphere where it feels like "anything goes". Mixing toxic elements in a giant fishbowl is a recipe for some pretty creepy results I am afraid. IMO
