Am genuinely worried about what is happening in UK

It is obvious that the rioters are very worked up. They might be furious, or they might be acting out of peer pressure. They are attacking the normal institutions of their society. Which brings the police to protect property and injuries. I am wondering if there is so much violence being shown on social media, and news, that it might becoming a normalized response to the problems the citizens are experiencing.

It feels like as technology has increased, the breakdown of society is occurring at an increasing rate. Technology has made our lives way more complicated, and it thrives on getting our attention by showing us "shocking" stuff. This has created an atmosphere where it feels like "anything goes". Mixing toxic elements in a giant fishbowl is a recipe for some pretty creepy results I am afraid. IMO

Yeah some countries like China and Japan have very strict rules on knives. In fact some regions of China if you have a pocket knife you will be in jail. Japan is crazy strict. Yet... China stabbings occur regularly because you can't regulate or stop kitchen knives from being sold. Just like gun free cities in the us that just so happen to have the most shootings in the entire country. You can't stop crime.

this is the reason they give here for the huge knife crime ..especially among the young. ''You can't stop knives being purchased''... ..so instead why don't they, make a law that anyone found using a knife during a crime gets the maximum sentence the courts can mete out... I'm sure knife crime wouldn't be so popular especially among the young who seem to be the worst perpetrators

Tensions are high between anti-immigration demonstrators and police, with the past few days seeing officers attacked, cars set on fire and innocent pedestrians targeted in the street.

A lot of people don’t realize what the right type or style a knife can do. I n to a gun show just a few months ago and they also had displays of knives. I asked the man behind the counter what his deadliest knife was. He told me that it’s not always about using the deadliest knife, but how you use the knife. Protesters tried to kick down police officer's riot gear, while other demonstrators threw objects at their shields.

Looters took advantage of the chaos, stealing phones, shoes and wine from the shelves of every-day stores, smashing their windows with bricks and stones.

In Liverpool, shameless yobs squealed 'get the phones! Get the phones!' as a group surrounded and battered their way into a phone repair and vape shop in the city centre.

Kicking the shutters with the feet and wrenching them up in a wild frenzy, the mob battered at the glass with what appeared to be a bollard before leaving the road outside strewn with packaging after they emptied the shelves.

It's without doubt a terrible thing that's happening this rioting and destruction of property.. However it's entirely understandable. The government have taken no notice of the people dissatisfaction for years now... British people have continually been quiet on this subject..but the govt have pushed us to our limits... and now.. I sincerely hope that the powers that be don't just see this as a ''tantrum''... but instead really understand the meaning behind what the people are trying to convey.. ... after years of attempting to get the government to do something, using much more civilised methods..

I have seen some worse, but the knife specialists tell me this one is a guaranteed killer. Because of the shape of the blade and when it’s twisted once inside the victim, it’s sure to tear an artery.

As in the US, there is a portion of the citizenry that does not like the "liberal" trend- gay rights, women's rights, civil rights, and is angered by the flood of "illegals". This group intends to create chaos, fear, and disillusionment with the government to begin to rescind what they consider the liberal agenda. This is a tried and true tactic that has a good chance of succeeding, because " a military state can never happen here".

The difference in the UK situation is that the BDL has well organized travel plans that use the inter city trains to bring in thousands of their supporters to a specific place. Many of the BDL members were previously "foot ball hooligans " who get drunk and attack the other team's fans after the game is over.

The UK government needs to do a number of things. One would be a 14 day ban on the sale of alcohol, nation wide by any one, at any place. That would take the fuel out of the rioters. Second. Control the sales of gasoline in take away containers, nation wide. Third. Mobilize the army to support the Police forces, and be prepared to declare Martial Law in specific locations if required.

Heard the police want to start using water cannons on rioters.

That being said stabbing just one person is work but multiple people even more. Some victim will have enough left to fight or flee so on top of getting a lot of stabs or damaging stabs in adds to the work. The suspect was highly motivated by what ever. Might have even been on legal or illegal drugs.

It is that will to kill. Unless fueled by drugs there probably is somekind of build up of emotion that one finally acts on. Have to wonder what the suspects motivation was in these killings

Successive governments have not even tried to stop Britain becoming the 'trash can of the world'. I don't condone the rioting and violence, but I am not surprised by it.

I've been expecting something like this for a long time. I understand why the Brits are protesting. They are citizens and taxpayers. Just who are the police protecting? Who should they be protecting? Children should never be horrifically murdered like the girls in Southport were. I think with these protests they are gaining attention for their grievances and I hope it helps.

Indeed, this situation has been building up over the last few years. In our lifetime, Conservative and Labour governments have brought UK to it's knees.

First, correlation-causation is clear in this case. As in most cases. Occams Razor- the simplest explanation is usually the right one.

So Germany allows about 8 to 12 million (officially) immigrants in their country. Rapes, murders, sexual assaults increase dramatically.

France allowed at least 10 million but some say 15 million immigrants in and their statistics reflect the same.

Swedish statistics are exactly the same as France and Germany. In fact the govt of Sweden actually stated that the immigration experient had failed.

So, are you saying that the huge amount of immigrants in the uk have nothing to do with the increase in rapes murders and violent crimes?

yep, absolutely agree ...the vast majority of these migrants are young single men.....

I also will say to anyone that references racism to be cautious. It's a slippery slope when you attempt to say without saying that someone is racist.
I served in 3 different countries (iraq afghan and Syria) and peacekeepering in African countries and Bosnia.

I am by my actions defending against violence against people because of their beliefs skin color or origin. So while no one directly stated it, i feel it was close to implying. We lost men fighting against all kinds of racism and discrimination.

Don't take kindly to the- while faint- implication. Personal attacks will not be tolerated.

The politicians unable to be honest and admit they created a problem but impotent on dealing with the consequences of a failed policy. Much easier to blame those who prefer to talk with violence, government will never contain the civil unrest because they will not listen. The true intentions of Labour so far have been inconsistent.

Do you know that one of the main BDL slogans is "enough is enough "? You just used it in your post. Does that mean you support them ?

By the way, the Government has said, just today, that the courts will now be sitting 24 hours a day, and that any arrested rioters will NOT get bail. During the 2011 London riots, guess who was the Attorney General, back then ? The new Prime Minister. Stand by for massive retaliation by the Government.
