Not expecting too awfully much achievement today. I'm now in my third day of a bout of Covid. DW came down with it one day before. She suspects she picked it up while on one leg of a ferry between the BC mainland and Vancouver Island, last week.

Covid's no fun, of course. My first night with it was heavy head congestion, making it hard to breathe. The day was pretty low energy. Second night was better, with more of a runny nose but still an ache in the back of my neck... and I slept 10 hours. After waking, my energy seemed better to me. Last night slept my usual 71/2 hours and woke up feeling my energy was even better, but some effect to my vocal cords and coughing a little too frequently... nose not so runny, neck ache gone.

Today I'll probably just do house work like dish washing, folding some of the laundry. Maybe cooking something for supper. Maybe a nap along the way.

I got called ''baby'' today by the Nail technician...lol.. can you believe that ?.. He's only in his 30's at most... :ROFLMAO:

Also today when I got to the car park at the supermarket, I was wondering why the back door wouldn't open even tho' I was pressing the button on the key, I was hauling the door.. still wouldn't open...... took me a minute to realise that the cushion on the back seat wasn't mine.... ooops.... wrong car ... Mine was about 4 cars along... .Pleased the owner didn't come out while I was trying to get into their car...

I talked myself into going to the supermarket, mostly because I was out of ice cream, whipped cream and fudge bars! 😱 I made sure to take my time and tread carefully. After putting the groceries away (milk, bread & ice cream) I took a very small bag of clothes and my laundry supplies down to the laundry room. I did that so I could hold a machine until I came up and got the laundry bag. I'm glad I did that instead of lugging the laundry bag because someone was using both double loaders.I never use the single loaders, so I just came back upstairs and decided to try again on Friday afternoon. The rest of the day was spent eating, sleeping and watching TV.

Neurology appt. today to read the Brain MRI I took a week ago to find out why sometimes I shake. The worst is when my head shakes, I feel so stupid and have to hold my head till it goes away. My hands & legs I can deal with, but my head is an embarrassment if it happens in public.

My bet is that Nothing shows up to explain it. Tell you later what gives.

She's finally here!!!!! After a hectic week of contractions we have our new Likkle Grandaugter.
Meet Georgia - born late last night. 8lbs 2oz.
Mummy & baby happy and healthy.
Grandad tired but buzzing with happiness

Good luck! Praying for you find out what it is and that it is nothing that can't be fixed.

On my early walk at 6:30 temp was 65, wearing my yellow reflector vest as I walked a block to buy local paper
This morning, at 9am my friend, Mary is picking me up , going on our weekly' road trip' to Target. I'm looking for a table lamp for my bedroom. I always give her my NYT{Mon-Fri} when I'm done reading, magazines I subscribe to e.g People, Saturday Evening Post, Yankee
The rest of my day take another walk, read my book.I never know who I'm having dinner with in the dining room when I call to make my reservation for 5:30.

Just heading off for a few days. Don't take laptop, phone, TV etc.. just a few books and a road atlas - and Mrs.L.
Nope I couldn't do that... I ended up like that in July when I went to Dorset. There was no wi-fi... so after I'd been out sightseeing and back to the Caravan.. it was mega Boring in the evening.. and believe me I read... but that was just too isolating and boring!

I discovered that in January I bought a set of 3 Thumb drives from Amazon. I have absolutely no recollection of receiving them, or even ordering them in fact and have searched everywhere that I might keep computer peripherals, and they're not anywhere, so I'm wondering if I didn't get them.. but now it's way too late to report them as not being delivered... :cautious:

Well, I'm feeling certain I'm well on the road to mend. I woke up this morning after 7-hour's sleep, feeling rested. Whereas three mornings ago, I'd awakened after 10 hours and required several naps during the day afterwards. The 'creeping' feeling under my skin, as well as the ache in the back of my neck and a sore throat, are now gone. I'm blowing my nose far less frequently today as well. Yes, I expect I still might need to nap during the day today, but what an improvement!

I've always believed in the power of extra sleep (if accompanied by a sweat under blankets, so much the better) for assisting recovery from a flu, bad cold, etc. That plus salt-water gargles is what my self-therapy has mainly consisted of.

I've really appreciated the outpouring of concern & Hug Emoji's from my friends here at SF. That, too, is therapeutic. Huge gratitude to all of you.☺️

Today will be an easy day in town. My list of stops is: gym.

That's it! No appointments or errands. Actually, neither of us have an appointment for 4 whole weeks!!!! It seems weird!

After the gym, we might stop for coffee and then go to the library so that I can play with the new scanner, but there is no real plan right now. It's hard to even think, much less make plans....I am tired of feeling like this, and I'm ready to get back to being myself. 😢

For those of you who were wondering.....
No, I didn't fall into the freezer yesterday. I can reach the bottom, but just barely! The "quick" job did go bad though, and instead of taking 20 minutes, ended up taking over 2 hours...and I needed Dio's help to clean up the unexpected mess! I've cleaned that freezer many times over the years, and I've never had so many things go wrong! I'm very happy that it's over and done....for now

Time for me to make breakfast, then head into town.
