The bathroom wallpaper is stripped. They have been highly prepped including patching holes, sanding, wiping.
Yesterday was sizing. Today will be priming and tomorrow painting. DH says it you don't do these several steps you won't have a good smooth surface for the paint. It looks really good so far.
I'm working on recrocheting my afghan and helping as needed.
I fought grasshoppers on my front plants. Now picking caterpillars off my impatiens. I'll spray if there is more today. I got about fifteen.

'tis true, the Prep is 50 % of the job.... (y)

After my wake up call of my coffeemaker spilling coffee all over my counter due to user error.........I forgot to put the cup in it last night after I washed it. I am planning my first "Girl Talk" coffee hour for the women who live in my building. Nervous about it but looking forward to it. No talk about our building, other tenants or management. Just us as people.

Tuesday morning is Tai Chi. A lot of time spent on the fine detail for one of the Ba Duan jin set. My brain hurts :ROFLMAO:

Still waiting for Likkle Grandaughter to arrive. Feeling a bit lonely as everything is gearing up for her arrival and Mrs Oy is basically living there now. It's necessary though.

On my early walk at 6:40, temp was 62 as I walked twice a around building complex
This afternoon, at 1:30 I'm going with 6 other Canterbury Woods residents on a 'road trip' on our bus, to Mayer Brothers Cider Mill in West Seneca,NY{ burb of Buffalo} Its one of the oldest family run businesses in WNY started in 1852 It sells all sorts of apple related products e.g pies, strudels, cider &other items.
I've never been there, will be great going with other residents, hopefully I won;t spend too much money LOL

Hi! It's going to be a long day for us. We'll start at the gym, then Library, then Dio's eye doctor appoint. Finally the small grocery store, a pizza, then back home!

Time for me to fly! TTUL

Morning folks....I've kinda been under the weather lately but feeling better today with the help of ice packs....daughter coming and that makes the day better too..everyone have a good one.
Hope you feel better soon Jackie... 🤗

It's 3pm, I'm still waiting for the plasterer to arrive. I'd put off washing the kitchen floor because I thought he would be here at 1pm, but as he wasn't I washed it anyway.

Just called the doctor's surgery for an appointment. I've been getting localised headaches for a few weeks now, and they're pretty disabling. I'm not ordinarily someone who suffers from headaches, much less localised ones.. so the earliest appointment they could give me is the 27th of September..

Woke up at 3:30 AM and couldn't fall back asleep. I hate when that happens. At least I put some of the time to good use - cleared off my desk today. It's a magnet for clutter. Mostly papers.

Have a few business chores to manage today, but it'll mostly be a day with few things on my agenda. That's a good thing because I've got some library books calling my name!

My latest "wake up" time seems to be 4:00 a.m. I get up and do stuff for a couple of hours, then, I go back to bed for a nap. Often, I don't fall asleep, so, I read.

It seems to be common for seniors to wake up very early .. or, maybe I'm wrong.

After binging on much sugar yesterday afternoon, woke up at dawn this morning with a minor toothache in an upper right molar that has a partially broken off old root canal with crown. So with reticence, downed a 100mg ibuprofen then brushed teeth thoroughly. An hour later no change so sloshed clean water around in that part of my mouth for a couple minutes hoping it might wash out anything finding thin cracks, then pushed a big slug of Colgate toothpaste all over the tooth. Wallah! A half hour later, tooth nerve pain almost gone. Although my life long sugar binging doesn't lead to weight gain, it has contributed to some tooth decay.

The Swiss Miss chocolate drink packets in bulk boxes are by far, the least expensive way to consume sugared chocolate. 50 1 3/8oz packets 69 ounces for just $8.68 or $0.13/ounce. Those drug store candy bars are often $1.19 for 3 ounces or 3 or 4 times as much per ounce. Consume most of the packages without liquid as dry powder. The flexible thin white packets fit into pockets efficiently. And the foil packaging makes folding closed easy after just consuming partial package contents. So one can put an already opened package back into a clothing pocket without getting chocolate powder on fabric. I never need to drink water/milk with the powder as am quickly salivating like Pavlov's dog hearing the bell.

My other current sweet pleasure are Kraft Caramel Bits (11oz=$7) one often finds in supermarket baking and cake sections. I like to grab a full handful, nearly fill my mouth with them, then slowly dissolve all the caramel. Quite viscerally addicting.

Also placed a modest layer of shredded cheddar cheese atop a well salted flat ceramic dinner plate, then mic'd it for 33 seconds that sort of mostly melts. I quickly knife slice the results. Result has similarities to pizza and bacon. Another of mr dave's cheap thrills!
Now starting 5 quiet days at home being constructive and physically recovering before next weekend's huge festival events.
