Today we're driving down to our old home town to take Likkle Grandscon birdwatching on one of my old stomping grounds. He has his cammo T-Shirt on and Binoculars at the ready
Oh good! No-one had to cook!Oh, no....this was not a Pot Luck. My Mom's church supplied all of the food! Chicken, hot dogs, corn on the cob, potato salad, baked beans, mac & cheese, tacos, watermelon, grapes, pineapple, and....well, that's all I remember for now.
The desert table was filled with home made cookies, etc.
There were also games, like a cake walk, BINGO, and raffles!!
I got this great shot of my Mom and her friend....

(LOL! She's going to kill me when she sees it!!!)
Even with the less than perfect weather, we all had a nice time!
I do live in a ground floor flat. Remember?what are you depressed about ?... you don't have to live in a ground floor flat you should be happy...![]()
Nope! But the volunteers sure did work hard!Oh good! No-one had to cook!
He sounds adorable!!!Today we're driving down to our old home town to take Likkle Grandscon birdwatching on one of my old stomping grounds. He has his cammo T-Shirt on and Binoculars at the ready![]()
It's funny, when we had our house built (in 2000), Dio designed it simple, with the idea that we will want to stay here even when we are older. Now, 24 years later, we are also starting to recognize our limitations.Weather looks pretty good today, so it will probably be a bit more work tidying up the garden. We want to get the campervan cleaned and packed as we're having a coupe of days away to visit another couple of castles and museums.
Mrs. L and I have often thought about this house which we love in spite of its quirks, but will it become too much to manage in the coming years.
I'm not sure if the layout would allow for alterations to make things easier, but for the time being, we'll struggle on.
yes but isn't it a part of your Daughters' house ?I do live in a ground floor flat. Remember?

Not having a drain will make life easier.I doubt that I'll be given a drain.. but thanks for the advice anyway.. I already use Aveeno moisturiser so that's handy to have to use on any scarring.. and I have a big bottle of E45 Cream with a pump which I use for my hands..
The flat I'm probably viewing this week...is a ground floor with a garden..of sorts..it's kind of an enclosed open space, which conjures up a picture of a communal garden, but it's not like that.. even tho' it technically is.. but the flat face out into the garden, while the other flats face out onto the road.
My friends live here.. or in London and Spain.. but the friends in London live in the city, I can't afford anything in the city, and I don't want to live there anyway ... I'm looking at this apartment in the suburbs..
The flats is ideal.. in that it's in a very upmarket area.. very little crime.. and within walking distance of 2 major rail/underground stations and within 5 minute drive of 2 others...
Equally the walk to the major high street with all the amenities is just 5 minutes...
There's a large park very close to the apartments, and a library within a minutes walk...
I'm going to see it Next Saturday afternoon.. just had an email from the agent. I can't do it before then because I have other commitments. It would have been handier if it had been Friday because I have an appt with my OA consultant in London on friday ..so I could have gone from the hospital to view the flat.. but oh well..Not having a drain will make life easier.
The flat sounds promising @hollydolly, it sounds as if it has everything you would need. From what I have seen of the photos you have posted in the past, wherever you move, you will make it a lovely home.
I used to have a neighbour who was very reluctant to move but, her daughter took her to see a garden flat not far from where she lives in NW10. My neighbour fell in love with the garden flat and has just celebrated her 10th year in residence. She loves it and, like the apartment you are looking at, it has everything - shops, station, park etc - within a short walk from home.
I love brownies. Never had them with icing tho'. I put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a warm brownie sometimes.okay folks, busy morning, buiscuits and saus gravy, but biscuits
were no good, store brand ya'know.....just now took pan of brownies out of oven .....yea that's rite I baked brownies...and
gonna put canned icing on them in a bit....hands hurting now but heck....luv'ya !!!!
I know what you mean!Waiting for my grocery order to get here. I have been limiting my time on the computer so I can do other things. I do not get everything I need to do because I am on the computer too much.
aww bless you..Holly, I hope you like the flat and every thing goes well for you.
It's time something works out good for you.
..but you don't have anyone above or below you....behind their garage, my own entrance
