I have tried to do that ... having LOVED the show up to the ending... which I may or may not understand lol

I have not been able to keep going. Some shows are all about the mystery, and sadly - for me - LOST is one of them. Since I already know the answers, it's hard to watch - even tho, I love the characters ! :/

I watched a bit of the first season, but it paled in comparison to Lee Childs' novels. I just couldn't see Alan Ritchson as Reacher. He's not at all the character described in the books. Richson looks almost like a superhero figure. Plus he can't act...:(

Oh, I agree. 24 was very well done throughout most of its run. So many great characters. I loved Chloe O'Brian! Two memorable standout performances were Jean Smart as Martha Logan, and also Gregory Itzin (RIP) as President Charles Logan. And all of the music by the great Sean Callery was phenomenal.

My point was that Blindspot copied some of the style and methods of 24, although without the same effect.

I pay attention to the comics and try to remember to relate them to what happens in each episode. Very cute idea. I like the music too. I also like how even though the show can be quite silly at times, there's always an important message about what we, as humans experience and how we handle situations as well as complex human relationships and emotions. Also I think the sheriff is a hoot. It's interesting watching him with his biases and misogynistic attitudes after watching him play a serious, no nonsense character in The Closer. He's a good looking man too and so is the mayor. And Alan Tudyk (Harry) is just so fun to watch. I thought this season only had 8 episodes, but it has 10. So I've got 2 more to go.
 
@OneEyedDiva, I've been saving watching the new season until after the Little League World Series is over, so I can give them both my full attention and fully savor them.

I haven't watched The Closer, is it worthwhile? Agree Alan Tudyk is great fun. Such a talented physical comedian, as well.
 
I started the Netflix series Bet last night, and so far I like it a lot. It's very escapist, which I like because my life has been so darn serious lately and I could do with a bit of lightheartedness. A bonus (well, for me, anyway) is that the episodes are a bit shorter than the usual 55 minutes.

I thought Elba played a harried, conflicted cop very well. But his nemesis, or femme fatale, if you will (Ruth Wilson as Morgan), pretty much stole every scene she was in. IMO Elba's character really didn't fit, but it grew on you.
 
Is it sad when you find a series on Netflix and you can kind of remember it but not really? I found Dark, which is right up our alley. We watched the first episode and we remembered most of it. Then we watched part of the second episode and didn't remember it but we were hooked. Then we couldn't remember why we stopped watching it. We figured maybe because it was German and there were so many characters or we were watching something else at the time that was more interesting. Anyway, it is good and is now dubbed in English!

Yeah, me too, mostly so they can recommend more series like it. Apparently we gave up after Episode 1 because Netflix started us on Episode 2. There were 3 seasons from 2017-2020 so we have a lot to watch!
 
Don't remember if I've mentioned this before, but in case I haven't, I've been enjoying a series streaming on Netflix for about the last week. It's a Norwegian story about a middle-aged, very likable woman who is a psychologist, mainly about her joys and problems with her big, loving family. Also a little bit about her job. It's mainly a drama, but has a lot of comedy in it also. It's written about mature adults, and I think it's intended for a mature adult audience.

Interestingly, it's filmed in Oslo and you can watch it in Norwegian with subtitles, or with dubbed English. Normally I dislike dubbed movies, as the acting voices are often amateurish, and sometimes don't seem to match what the characters are saying. But I thought the dubbing was excellent in this one. The only strange part is that the voices used for the dubbed English version have British accents. But once you get used to that, it doesn't matter.

It streams for 5-6 seasons, and I'm in the middle of season 3, and enjoying it immensely. If you want to give the dubbed version a try, be sure to go to Netflix. There's another channel that has it in Norwegian,

The whole Alice Morgan subplot irritates the hell out of me!I don't like her, the story line, or whatever the hell is going on between them.
 
Ok, some of you probably realize i have very eclectic taste in just about everything--books, series, movies, music and even people. Today i watched a two movies both on Tubi. A thriller called Exam and an amusing Japanese SciFi that had been on one of Flick Connection's YT video lists. The latter titled 'Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes.

Exam was pretty well paced. But in some ways seemed like a parable or morality play with some stereotypical characters. If anyone else has seen it i'd be curious about your take on it. And i was a bit disappointed in the ending tho i figured out some of the key things.

Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes had subtitles (not a problem for me because 1) i watched a lot of foreign movies in my youth and still do thanks to streaming services & 2) my hearing impaired just enough that i need them to not have my sound blasting across the valley. It was a new twist on time 'travel', with comedic and romance elements especially in the ending.

A cafe owner who lives in apt in same building as his business (a building with more than one business on ground floor and several apts in the floors above) discovers his home computer monitor is 2 minutes ahead of when the monitor in his cafe is. A friend has the idea of placing the monitors facing each other creating something like the infinite mirror effect that theoretically will allow them to see further than 2 minutes.

Most of it has a silly tone, as if written by teen, but i was in the mood for silly fun after the other movie and the ending, complete with the lead and his crush outsmarting 'time/space police' was 'gold' in my mind even if the title was a tad of a spoiler.
 
Contrary to the negative opinions about Leanne, I’m thoroughly enjoying it. It has a good support cast. It’s nice to watch something light.
