Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

I couldn't help noticing how the creator of Blindspot (Martin Gero) took a lot of cues from the series 24 (2001-2014, 9 seasons):

Hardly 10 minutes go by without some heavy action crisis or shoot-em-up, followed by new twists. Even the number of episodes are similar to 24: 23 in first season, 22 in second.

And the dramatic music is likely wholly inspired by 24's award winning score by the great Sean Callery, who wrote the book on using music to gradually build up the tension to a pounding rhythmic frenzy in each of the action scenes.

One has to park one's sense of logic to consume the story line, but it's a watchable series on a base level. And one has to really suspend one's belief in casting the delicate looking Jaimie Alexander as a hidden kung fu commando babe, who can dispatch 6'3" 250 lb. bruisers with hardly breaking a sweat... 😄

We've not yet finished the first season, but I can see how the series could become redundant, as you say.
Alas, no way was Blindspot near as good as 24 .... in my humble opinion. :)

l am binge watching LOST, but not on any service other than my own DVD player. Of course l know that LOST was filmed on Oahu and you'd think l'd be excited about that and l was except after l wached a few of the early episodes which then l didn't like so much. After much later l started watching LOST again and not only did l like it, l loved it ! And l missed so many episodes
that l decided to purchase the whole lot and binge watch the entire series. l am enjoying it.
I have tried to do that ... having LOVED the show up to the ending... which I may or may not understand lol

I have not been able to keep going. Some shows are all about the mystery, and sadly - for me - LOST is one of them. Since I already know the answers, it's hard to watch - even tho, I love the characters ! :/

I needed a splash of fantasy, so I am watching 'The Outpost' on Prime. I'm up to the last ep in S01 next. It's a total of 49 eps and ends clean, no final cliffhangers.

Finished up the latest season of Reacher. I watch because I read the books. It really is overdone. You know there’ll be the standard, long fight scenes. Still, I’ll probably watch the next series.

Next on my list is Sneaky Pete. I enjoyed the original seasons and was sorry when it ended.
I watched a bit of the first season, but it paled in comparison to Lee Childs' novels. I just couldn't see Alan Ritchson as Reacher. He's not at all the character described in the books. Richson looks almost like a superhero figure. Plus he can't act...:(

Oh, I agree. 24 was very well done throughout most of its run. So many great characters. I loved Chloe O'Brian! Two memorable standout performances were Jean Smart as Martha Logan, and also Gregory Itzin (RIP) as President Charles Logan. And all of the music by the great Sean Callery was phenomenal.

My point was that Blindspot copied some of the style and methods of 24, although without the same effect.

Especially in this latest season, many of them can’t.
