I have the answer: limit the forum to Americans. While there are some very fine foreign posters, too many of them are here only to insult and attack America and Americans at every opportunity.

It sure is.Not try'in to pick a fight witch'ya but....isn't that just another form of censoring ?
I don't consider freedom to be a weakness.I mean, perhaps we can learn from our foreign contributors some true weaknesses we may have?
I have survived a toothache, but I would have preferred avoiding it.I can give as good as I take...so if someone just wants to rant against us ?....I'll be their huckleberry...

Limiting membership only to Americans is not a very intelligent statement, INMHO.
Loll. Hilarious.Shalimar, I believe we should eschew obfuscation. (That was a bumper sticker I saw once.)
Yep, watch out for Canada, chock full of Canucks. Some of them even speak French! Some might call that xenophobia? I suppose it would be really difficult to visit other countries because of all the foreigners there. :dots:

You are quite right. Not everyone cares to be challenged.
Having said that, the people who provide the forums have the right to set the standards as they see fit. It's their baby after all.

Yay! Want some poutine with that? I love craft beer. Victoria has some of the best.Canada is also full of great beer! Yum.. :joyous:
Make a run for the border!
There's a wonderful old expression that fits here: "Vote with your feet." Don't like a particular topic, or the direction a thread has gone in? Just don't go there.
But why resort to censorship? Usually, the only reason for censorship is if the powers that be have something to hide. That clearly doesn't apply here, so what then?
Because the control freaks of the world do not think we should even be permitted to talk about things they do not like. And apparently we have a few in here?

Something I see somewhat frequently are people coming into a thread just to say they aren't interested.
Not interested in the Royal Wedding? Fine - don't come into the thread.
Not interested in basketball, football, baseball, hockey, etc. ? Fine - don't come into the thread to announce your lack of interest.
Never watched Seinfeld? Fine- stay out of the thread.
And just because the thread title asks a question doesn't mean you're obligated to click and comment that you don't know and couldn't care less. Move on.
