Torta di Noci (Walnut cake)

Made some Cuccia di Santa Lucia yesterday for Saint Lucy’s Day. It’s basically an Italian pudding made with wheat berries, ricotta, sugar, chocolate chips and candied fruit. A sprinkling of cinnamon and/or nutmeg on top.

We don’t celebrate St Andrew’s Day officially, but it is my brother’s birthday.

I’m usually home alone for all holidays. I still make a traditional dinner for myself though. After all, I still have to eat - so I might as well enjoy it.
