I was just looking at Readers Digest and a cover story was random acts of kindness. Nice topic for a thread, especially with the holidays. There was one day several years ago. I had an old car. I took the kids for a doctors appointment and when we came out of the office it was raining buckets. I had three young kids with me and as the oldest closed the passenger door it popped open again. For some reason the latch refused to snap. Pouring rain and I didn't even have a bungee cord to hold it shut.
Out of nowhere a truck parked beside us. A young man with long hair and a beard tapped on our window. The kids jumped in the back seat. He asked if we needed help and then rummaged in his truck for tools. He got in the passenger seat and had the door fixed quickly. I thanked him all over the place as he got out. Then as suddenly as he appeared he was gone. We're not a way spiritual family, but joked for years afterwards that Jesus came and fixed the door.
