Are you a tap water drinker or a bottled water drinker? and why?

Brita pitcher filtered tap water.
We previously used with good results, PUR and Waterpik, refrigerator filters. We now use Brita, because we can't put a separate faucet in this sink nor use a cartridge at the end of the gooseneck.
We like drinking dechlorinated water-makes tea and coffee more uniform tasting.
We also won't spend the money for bottled water.

I've used the Brita pitcher for four years now. Our village water is loaded with magnesium, and village has old piping for the water supply. But, I won't buy bottled water unless I am out and about, and thirsty.

Mostly tap water....we have excellent well. We carry some bottled water when away from the house, because so many of the area towns have water that is loaded with chlorine, etc., and tastes a bit nasty.

Tap water. I have a well but luckily the water is nice and pure, though I do have a cartridge filter when it first comes into the house and a water softener. I fill metal bottles to use in my car and at the gym.

I was raised on chlorinated water. It was normal to me. Unchlorinated water tasted weird!

One place I lived, I saw dead rats in the water.

Anyway ... I usually drink boiled tap water. Anything left in the kettle after boiling water for coffee, etc., goes into a glass container. I probably don't need to boil the water; it’s just a habit from when I lived elsewhere.

I do buy bottled water also. It's convenient when I occasionally run out of boiled water, or if I'm out of the house for several hours.
LOL - "Dead rats in the water."
If the drinking water kills rats, it can't be safe for people.......

The plumbing in this town are over 100 years old.
Sometimes, the quality does not pass inspection because of contaminants.
So, bottled water only.

I keep bottled water for company, because they like it & they think it's healthier/cleaner.
I don't drink tap or bottled water. I use a "Zero Water Filter Pitcher."

I used to use an "at the tap" type filter .... IMO the water tasted better, and no residue on dishes that dried on the drainboard.
Then I had a plumbing problem , and during the repair [new water heater] I had a whole-house filter installed @ the same time. Again, the water taste better to me , and no residue .

Bottled water for quickness out the door.
Or, in the house. Will refill the empties w/tap water though.

We have really good tasting water here.

I most always drink tap water. I have a water filter, but it does not capture all the residual stuff,
but most of it. It is more convenient for me and fortunately our water here tastes reasonably
decent. I do though think I should get more in the habit of drinking bottled water, seems cleaner.

Bottled water because our tap water is awful. We purchase 5 gallon bottles. For a while my husband couldn’t lift heavy weights so we purchased a Costco Brita style jug. It was better but still not very nice. I was buying 4 litre jugs. All our plastic bottles of any size are returnable for a refund. It still was a nuisance packing them to the depot.

I like water to be cold, so fill up at the ice maker and then water from the dispenser. Not sure what that would be called.
When I bought my last fridge they looked at me like I had a third head because I didn’t want a water dispenser.

I have absolutely little faith in anyone’s fridge water dispenser cleanliness and absolutely none in a public place. How many are wiping out the dispenser or cleaning the top of the bottles.

Our well water has iron and hence an iron-loving bacteria. The water does not taste too bad but if you drink too much you can have problems. But if you boil it, then it is fine.

So I usually drink bottled spring water instead. I can not stand bottled water that is not spring water. If I run out of bottled, I boil our tap water for drinking.

Tap water here in town
Tastes good

I could sell the water at the cabin

We've bought a few jugs of water here in town, for emergencies
