That's the spirit!!!!Nope. Already decided. Not only decided to not get dressed because it's too cold, also decided not to cook because I don't feel like it. So there.

Oh no! Well, that's no way for your day to start.I’m bald today. One, I cut my hair a bit too short last night and two, Wordle was a real stinker today.
Sounds like you have a really nice day ahead.Had a lovely day yesterday with 4 year old GS, then afternoon-evening saw DD and her crew. Today we're taking the 22 month old for the day. It's a school holiday in the US (Martin Luther King Day), so DDIL and the kids are off, but DS is not.
DDIL stumbled, fell, and wrenched her knee at work on Thursday, so we're taking some of the pressure off by watching one of their littles each day. Two small children is a lot with a painful knee. It's all good though. We enjoy having them and have nothing more pressing to manage.
I look forward to doing little more today than pulling together a little lunch, dispensing cookies, and sitting on the floor with a toddler while playing with toy cars, truck and trains, and building with magnet tiles (LOVE them!), Lincoln logs (saved from our kids' childhoods), train tracks and Hot Wheels tracks.
Should be a fun day ahead. Bonus: this GS still takes naps!
Hope all have a great Monday, January 19th!
I'm going upstairs to make spaghetti and cupcakes (again) for my guys in a bit.
I need to work on my Lupercalia card for boyfriend since he's in England and the mail can be a bit slow. If it gets their early it can be a "don't open until Lupercalia" type thing.
Husband's can wait a bit as can regular Valentines for friends, though I'd like to get them finished as well. I don't want something nice to become a stress thing. Holidays should be fun and I'm determined the keep them there inasmuch as I can.
This went a little deeper than I'd expected.![]()
Fair enough! LOL This is my first year celebrating Lupercalia. My understanding of it's more modern interpretation is that it's meant for more "lusty" attachments. At least that's the way I'm choosing to look at it.@Medusa If you don't mind, I'm gonna skip that whole Lupercalia thing...you know, loin cloths or running nekkid, getting hit with goat hide strips to promote good luck and fertility and all that. It's just not me. Okay?
I'm awake and lurked earlier...as usual thought that once I read stuff, I'd posted, too. Duh.
It's 23F here this morning. It's too cold to even get dressed. I'm moving in with @StarSong. Not to worry. I'm skinny and not too tall so won't take up much room. Maggiecat is coming along. She's not skinny.
So far there's no plan for today. Don't know if I should volunteer to make dinner or not. I don't have any original ideas for dinner. Maybe meatloaf, Kraft mac & cheese, broccoli...not gourmet but filling. Should I or shouldn't I?
I’m not too concerned. I do this chopping thing in the middle of every haircut and those happen every 5 or 6 weeks. It just seemed shorter when I woke up today.@Jules ~ it's just hair, it will grow back!![]()
It WAS! I got it in five and counted myself lucky to have done so!I’m bald today. One, I cut my hair a bit too short last night and two, Wordle was a real stinker today.
Well that's beautiful music to my ears, GG, because my checking account is mighty thirsty right now.And since tomorrow is the day the, I should probably have a meaningful conversation with my budget.
Sorry to read this, BJ. Hope you get past it quickly and it's nothing serious. For no apparent reason this morning I woke up with a bad stomach ache. It's gradually reduced down to normal, but I'm left with a feeling that the room is spinning slowly around me. I'm wondering if I'm going down with some kind of virus? Hope not, I've got too much internet surfing to do to be ill.![]()
