It only contains 51% cheese. It's actually a processed cheese product. Like the stuff in a can, Cheez Whiz, which is just as yucky.I read somewhere is Velveeta is not cheese, is that correct ?... we don't have it here

I started calling it Stitch & Bitch, bring needlework and gossip. SO bartended and arranged returns to home. Needlework? I do not recall seeing any but we still talk to each other across number of states.Am really envious of you getting to meet up with friends to a place ya'll have been going to for years! We moved away from our last digs in Texas, where our friends are close by. Missing those friends was one reason for deciding to put our house up for sale, here in beautiful Tucson, and move back to my DH's home state of Texas.
I too want to go have brunch or lunch with my buds and hang out in a bar for the afternoon![]()
.
I always tell DH we are all going "shopping". All DH knows is "shopping" makes me very happy!
we don't have canned cheese either..I can't even imagine what that looks likeIt only contains 51% cheese. It's actually a processed cheese product. Like the stuff in a can, Cheez Whiz, which is just as yucky.
Yes. Things like that.so I suspect it's used a lot in Mac & cheese becuase of it's ease of melting
You don't want to know. My dad only used it for fishing also. Is disgusting and super processed, loaded with both saturated fats and salt. In AUS it is called "Kraft Cheese". A block of it has the feeling of soft rubber. 32 ounce block is anywhere from $9.75 to $12.00 a block. It needs a health warning label on it.we don't have canned cheese either..I can't even imagine what that looks like
You know, it was far easier than I imagined... funny how I felt sentimental about it when it was in the house, but when I took it to the waste site.. I threw it away like it belonged to a stranger..didn't give a flying fluff..I'm up after sleeping like a baby. I cheated, though, and took a benadryl before bed last night. Sometimes you do what you gotta do.
It might be a little warmer today. They're telling us that the worst of the cold is done. For now.
When DD gets home from her work-from-the-office day, we're going Walmarting. Meanwhile, there's laundry to do.
@hollydolly I love that some of his stuff is going to the recycling center.
oh there's no question about the Post OP pain, apparently the best scenario will be that it will cease after 6 weeks, but at my age .. apparently it can go on for months...I bet unloading his stuff was freeing, @hollydoIly. Yay for you!
This time tomorrow, we'll all be thinking positive thoughts for you, and this time next week, you'll be well on your way to mending and the surgery (and associated pain, if any), will be just a bad memory.
@hollydolly, prayers for a successful operation and swift recovery!!I stopped off at the supermarket just to get the last few little things I need before I'm housebound,
Anyway this time tomorrow I should be coming out of surgery.. *yikes*... dreading the after pain...
lol..why are you talking like I'm not here....I'm sorry to say I don't check this thread as much as I should. What surgery is Holly having?
I didn't think you were!lol..why are you talking like I'm not here....
Tomorrow I'm having abdominal surgery....
That is really good news.Surprise this morning. Just about to get first coffee of the day when there was a knock at the door. The plumber had come to install the new boiler. He had hoped to do the work on Friday or Saturday, but there is a bad storm forecast and as it's an external boiler, he wanted to do it today and hadn't been able to contact me.
This meant turning off the water so no showers, but we quickly collected up containers to save some water. Then it was running around, turning off radiators etc... Anyway, they did a good job of taking out the old leaking boiler and installing a new one - about 4 hours work including tidying up. The boiler seems to be running nicely and comes with a 10 year warranty.
The very best of luck. Fingers and paws are crossed.lol..why are you talking like I'm not here....
