Although I’m not at all happy about this cold spring, I feel the same about the South as you do about the North. Humidity just saps every ounce of strength from me. I lived in North Carolina for a few years.

It‘s all good. The Earth would tip too far if we all lived in the same place!

Pepper, Do you know about EPIC? Keeps all of your medical records, including meds, online. You won’t have to remember them all.
 

My early walk this morning,had a companion with me at 7:15,my neighbor's dog' Rudy'. Her morning dog walker has today& Mon off, I offered to walk him both days. We went around the building once then we went across the street,walked halfway down another street. We got back 20 min later, Cathie said I could give him a milk bone,he automatically sat down when I gave it to him
The sun is trying to come out after a few days of endless rain/cool temps,no plans today read my book, NYT if the rain holds off may go for another walk
I'm having dinner in dining room again at 5:30 with Connie, 2 new residents, Kate& husband, Dave who moved in last week I've met them a couple of times,good way to know them better
 
Just got back from having my nails done @Georgiagranny


Warm & sunny...🌞🌞 picked up a couple of things from Sainsbury, including a knee cushion to replace the one I've had for years that I use in bed to stop my right knee huerting...

Had lunch at the pub.. normally Fridays are packed in the pub at lunchtime, but this is a holiday weekend so lots of people must have already gone away...and the pub was only half full

The market was on which is what made my mind up to go, so I cold get the watch repair man... I need a new battery in my watch.. the shop charges £14... the market man £5.... but sadly for the second time in a month he wasn't there...
 
Made my arrangements for tomorrow. Will probably be an hour early, but don't want to get into it with AccessARide. Where am I going? Well, my grandson's official 7th Birthday Party with his friends will be tomorrow. His real Birthday today. His mommy made him pancakes in the shape of number seven, with a candle on top. Me & his other grandparents were there through FaceTime and we all sang to him! Looks like he got some nifty presents so far, I saw a lot of dinosaurs scattered around! The party will be in one of the NYC parks near their home.

I'll bring a book with me, and sit and read, or maybe there's a coffee shop nearby I can hang out in. I don't know, AAR makes me crazy. Not taking them to go back home thank goodness. Either my son will drive me home, or an Uber.

I'm a nervous wreck. I can't stop shaking, and that makes me nervous, not vice versa. Can't seem to relax and calm myself.

I cancelled my doc appt. today because I'm too nervous for it and to do what I want to do tomorrow. Tomorrow more important. Changed my appt. till this Tuesday. Now have two doc appts. on Tuesday. Oy vay. I need help, though not sure what would work for me.

I still have to lay down after I've done a few chores. However, I don't have a fever. Appetite is coming back.
I may have pulled a muscle coughing unless my appendix is deciding to act up. Lower abdomen is tender.

I told you we had gotten back from a memorial service for my SIL. Strange, neither of her two daughters attended or the youngest grandchild. Just the two older grandchildren attended. When asked, the reasons were vague. Who knows what goes on.
During all this my BIL, DH's brother, was diagnosed with melanoma and there are other spots they're looking at. They also discovered a tumor on his heart! He looks so gaunt and so pale. He called their younger sister to stay with him after his wife died until the memorial in their hometown. Neither daughter came to see him or help.
I hope he is going to be OK. His wife, my SIL that passed, her sisters were at the memorial. One sister and her husband are very close with them. Travel together and such. I hope he moves to Florida to be near them.

I don't think Ill get fully caught up. Scanning, it doesn't look like I missed too much but let me know if I did please.🤗
 
Put out a couple of portable solar panels and power stations to pick up some charge while the sun was shining this morning, got them in just as thr sprinkles started up here again.

In between I got my R/W/B solar "fairy lights" out on the front hedge for the Memorial Day weekend. Crouched down to maintain my solar string lights I keep below those hedges year 'round (unscrewed plastic "bulbs" to dump out water, removed/reinserted LED modules to scrape off a little corrosion).

I'd have sprayed in some contact cleaner, but crouching for too long isn't as comfortable as it once was. Good thing those hedges are well-grown and strong, because getting up required a good grip on them to pull myself up a couple of times!

Time to get back to regular deep knee-bends to improve leg strength.
 
@PurplePower That remark about the earth tipping reminded me of a trip on a "butter boat"* in Germany many years ago. It was right off the coast, and across the river was East Germany. We could see the armed guards and guard towers from the boat. Of course, everyone on the boat wanted to see so they all moved over to one side of the boat. The edge of that boat was so close to the water that I actually leaned over the side and put my hand in the water!

*Butter boats went just far enough off shore so that there was no tax on things purchased on board that were normally very expensive, butter among them.

Okay, then. We went Walmarting, the lawn has been mowed, flowers deadheaded, weeds pulled and I'm feeling smug that those things got done before noon. Congratulate me for not sitting on my dead center all morning. I want a medal, please. ETA: And I think I've earned a nap...jussayin'

Ugh, I need to do all those garden chores but not quite yet. I will go out this evening and chop off the iris and amarillis stocks that are done blooming. I feel like I can handle that.

Wow...busy day! I hope you are feeling better.
 
Pandamonium, That is what we have here today! It has been entirely too liquid!! In other words, I have wet my pants no less than 3 times. At least, I made to a tile floor. I have also knocked over two full glasses of water in the den. The dogs are quite amused as they get in trouble for potties in the house.

This fall, this little two inch cut has really thrown me for a loop today. It is very hard to get up and walk, with any speed. The tetanus shot did not hurt yesterday. Today it hurts something fierce. Does not help that I have thrown out my shoulders using my walker. Shoulder pain equals neck pain which equals a migraine. I am also nauseous just to make sure I have my whole body covered.

I have to figure out something easy to throw in the air fryer so I get some food down. May just stick with chicken soup and crackers.

The doc gave me a new pill for sleep. It is Seroquel, and yes it does make you sleep!! Unfortunately, it made me high as well. I did not enjoy that. I will take it again tonight and see what happens. If it is the same, the high, no more. I do see the Doc next week to check the cut.
