Last minute packing for our fly out to Nebraska to enjoy the college football game Saturday.
Son and DIL will be joining us and should be a nice trip.
Flying into Omaha and rental car drive to Lincoln.

I'm happy that they still want to hang out with us old people!

Orgy of chocolate last night. I'm in a daze. Ate candy for 40 minutes straight. That's right. 40 minutes..........But..........Today is a new day, a new month, and I will be carefully guarding my health; keep my nose to grindstone...........do my laundry, throw out mother's things 😭 Clean up this dump. Slowly. Day by Day. Drink more water, I'm dehydrated. No more chocolate orgies. Piece by piece. Once in awhile. Son bought me NINE Bags of Halloween Candy. Nine. Barely made a dent.

It has been a long night, just can't seem to find shows that hold my interest, Getting close to 6AM, going to get dressed and make a walmart run. Need some fruit produce, milk and what ever else lights my fire. At least the store is empty at this time.

They are also refilling the produce area I just go to the boxes they bring out to get the really fresh stuff.

Everyone have a great day!

Good morning! Believe it or not, we are supposed to get rain this morning. The forecast is calling for "sprinkles." As for me, I'll believe it when I see it.

DD and I are supposed to do our Walmarting at 7:30. She's not up yet.

When we get back, there are leaves that need to be raked because they aren't in places where I can use the leaf blower. That'll be my exercise for the day.

If we really do leave at 7:30, we'll be back by 9ish. In the meantime, y'all behave.

Oh my gosh, yes! Too much candy. I didn't sleep well.

Halloween was a dud. Less and less trick or treaters every year. I always buy too much candy in anticipation which leads down that path that @Murrmurr spoke of in his sad, sad, addiction post. 😁
The start of the "I can't resist" period that lasts through January when we seek self intervention by way of salad.
I will fight on.........

I received 33 pics of son's family Trick/Treating in Upper East Side, Manhattan. Townhouses went all out to be spooky and entertaining. Everyone, all ages, in costume: son & grandson Spiderman, dil butterfly. The homes celebrating all decked out. Everyone had fun. Wish I had been there. They are drowning in candy!

Sorry you were disappointed HL. It's the same here, so I learned not to even bother.

Will you share some of those pics, @Pepper?

Cloudy this morning but only a 16% chance of rain. 😞

Doggy is managing. The pain med helps her greatly. I think that she will heal, altho' with a limp. It makes me sad, but I just can't subject her to surgery at her age.

I have a new neighbor right next door; a retired lady with grown children. I met her twice; once by chance when she was here painting and yesterday when she actually moved in. She seems nice.

Went to All Saints Day Mass this AM and saw some friends I haven’t seen in a coon’s age. After church we all out for brunch/ coffee; great time of catching up and eating yummy food.

Wally World, the pharmacy and visiting Ed are all on the agenda today. Oh and I need to call the tree removal guy and at least get my name on the list to have trees removed I know they are BUSY

Chewy has a self warming pad for $10.98. No need to plug in. Not sure this one is big enough for a large dog but I always liked the idea of cordless. Maybe 2 together. I know you didn't ask but once I get an idea it's hard to dismiss.
Do you have a link to the warming pad. I’m a little concerned about an electrical item in @RadishRose dog bed. I used to heat my little doggie’s blanket in the dryer.

I said it 10 times when I was at Walmart this morning. Get the C batteries, Get the C batteries but what I must have heard was get the spinach and ricotta ravioli.....heres to hoping the power doesn't go out. I just have one tiny flashlight working.

This also answers the what's for dinner thread and it ain't C batteries!
