Well, I was saving it until tomorrow but........@hawkdon It was me. I was trying to be quiet. Oops.
Well, the straw that broke the camel's back was one thing, but when the camel got whipped after its back was already broken was a bridge too far. I'm home. Texted Sir to tell him I was leaving and not coming back. He said "ok."
I feel free.
I know you (or maybe that's ME!@hawkdon It was me. I was trying to be quiet. Oops.

@Pepper !!!! Sorry I missed your birthday! I didn't see it posted.Been having lots of trouble getting more test strips! Doctor's office kept screwing up prescription. It's ready after 10 long days of nonsense & stress. Got a call finally ready. Will go in to CVS after their lunch time, 2pm to get them then walk Suicide Hill four times to calm my nerves! Will read my book in park, go home, get stoned.
Oh. I'm 75 now. I had another birthday.
When I went in, found that nothing was set up for this morning. That's about a two-hour setback in timing.Wow ! What happened ?
I'm sure you would have liked to give more notice but the situation was what it was. When I went in, found that nothing was set up for this morning. That's about a two-hour setback in timing.
Tired of flak from management over empty shelves for something over which I have no control. Tired of having the finger pointed at me because I try to cover for Sir. Just plain tired of carrying his water.
Sir is a really, really nice guy, but he's a p*ss poor manager. He didn't train me, I learned by-guess-and-by-golly (aka The Seat of the Pants Method), and he isn't training newest hire. At the time I started, there was a big binder with laminated pages of instructions and pictures of what the products should look like before and after being baked, and pictures of how they should be packaged. If I was all at sea about how to do something, I could consult the book...mostly outdated because "nobody" ever changed the pages, but still something to use as a guide. Don't know what happened to it, but it has been gone for months.
It would be a godsend to newest hire since it's the only direction/instruction she'll get.
Sir hates confrontation, which is why The Golden Child is still on the payroll in spite of not doing her job and in spite of excessive absences. Management will not step in until Sir has a sit-down with her first. Therefore, management will not step in at all. That's what makes her The Golden Child. She's untouchable.
Anyway, no longer a problem for me. I was only a warm body, and another one will come along. For most of the full-time employees, it's a career that they never intended, that they dislike and where they're only marking time. For part-timers, it's just a stop along the way to the next thing. Glad to be shut of the whole silly circus.
Until today, I'd never (in 70 years!) left a job without notice. Nope. Not once.I'm sure you would have liked to give more notice but the situation was what it was.
Hope it wasn't too soon for the hoopla, I just had so looked forward to us all celebrating with cake that I may have been a bit insensitive in the timing. If so, I'm sorry.
Just want to see you out of that unpleasantness and in your garden!![]()
Sometimes there's no choice.Until today, I'd never (in 70 years!) left a job without notice. Nope. Not once.
Wow. Imagine being in the working world for 70 years.
True. Lucky for me I was in a position to have a choice.Sometimes there's no choice.
I sure would believe it!!!!True. Lucky for me I was in a position to have a choice.
@Trila Wudju believe that in just the past hour and a half our temp has gone up by 14 degrees?
Well it had to be done. You stood for much more than you should have, and it's their loss that you've gone now....it was a long time coming. When I went in, found that nothing was set up for this morning. That's about a two-hour setback in timing.

Sad because I really liked baking stuff.
Have a good trip. I hope the weather dries upI've got my washing hanging out after my dryer broke down yesterday....
I've taken the chance while there's a gap in the rain,, and just keeping a wary eye out for the rain starting again, so I can dash out and get it in again...... the skies are very heavy so it won't be long before the heavens open...
I have nowhere in the house to hang washing.. I don't have a Clothes airer or anything...
I could drive 2 towns away where there is a laundrette , but if I can get this lot dried here today..I'll order a new Dryer when I get back from my trip..
